"In line with solidarity, what was relative to and exceptional about Lakas Kababaihan was that the project made it possible for solidarity among women to be not just about solidarity among women of similar circles, same communities but among women who have the same advocacies but come from different locations and backgrounds. We were able to form an informal network of women and here I found the true state of feminist praxis – building nurturing relations without borders.
I believe the value of Lakas Kababaihan is that it has set a pioneering example of how we can provide opportunities to be in solidarity with women in such grand scale that it also includes increasing the social awareness of others about the realities women experience, the issues they face and the advocacies they continuously fight for. In this era of our country where the culture of misogyny, discrimination, harassment and impunity are prevailed by the our highest leaders, it is important to continuously create safe & contemporary (artistic) spaces where we can continuously resist this culture, recognize our efforts, build our progress and celebrate the empowerment that we share with each other, for each other (Claveria, 2018)."
