CONTEST MECHANICS:
All participants may Build and Paint any Bandai GUNPLA model kit.
The entry must be a personal build and submitted under the builder's name.
Commissioned work is not allowed.
GUNPLA model kit entry for GMKC must be bought from Toy Kingdom or Toy Kingdom Express at SM Department Store.
To participate in the GMKC and for verification, participants need to provide the following:
1. Bandai GUNPLA entry box and manual
2. Official Receipt/Invoice for the entry purchased from Toy Kingdom or TK Express
3. Valid ID showing date of birth or School ID
Using model kit parts and accessories from third-party or similar sources is Prohibited.
The entry must be newly created for this contest. Entries previously submitted to any Bandai GUNPLA local or international contests are not permitted. Repeated entries may result in disqualification.
Each participant is limited to submitting only one entry.
Participants must be citizens of the Philippines currently living in the country.
The contest is open to all GUNPLA and Gundam enthusiasts nationwide, except employees of Ban Kee Trading Inc., International Toyworld Inc., and its advertising agency including their relatives up to the second degree of affinity or consanguinity.
Transportation and other expenses that may have occurred for the whole duration of the contest will be borne by the participants.
CONTEST GUIDELINES
• OUT OF THE BOX: Build using the parts and accessories that come with the kit; don't add anything from other kits.
• Follow the manual for assembly of all entries. Only versions indicated in the manual, utilizing parts from the box set, are permitted.
• Modification and diorama are not allowed. No adding parts or weapons from another model kit.
• Painting in various color schemes and patterns is allowed.
• Only Bandai decals are allowed.
• Sharpening of V-Fins and the split skirt is allowed.
• Puttying and sanding are allowed. The use of putty is limited to sealing seam lines and filling hollow parts but not for reshaping or sculpting parts.
• Model part detail lines erased by puttying and sanding can be re-lined/rescribed but adding extra lines in the original parts is not allowed.
• Using Bandai GUNPLA stand/action base is allowed but will not be part of the scoring.
NOTE: The organizers have the authority to reject participants unable to meet contest requirements. Entries will undergo post-submission checks to ensure adherence to contest regulations. Failure to comply will lead to forfeiture of participation. The organizer's decision, in agreement with DTI, is conclusive.
CONTEST CATEGORY
Over 21 Course
- 21 years old and above (Born on or before December 31, 2005).
- Experience or newbie confident to enter the Over 21 Course.
Under 20 Course
- 15 to 20 years old (Born between December 31, 2011, and January 1, 2006).
- Experience or newbie confident to enter the Under 20 Course.
Under 14 Course
- 14 years old and below (Born on or after January 1, 2012).
- Experience or newbie confident to enter in Under 14 Course.
NOTE: Participants can only enter one course and submit one entry.
SUBMISSION OF ENTRY:
May 30 - 31, 2026 (SAT & SUN) 11:00 am to 9:00 pm at The Block SM North Edsa.
Deadline for submission of GMKC entry is on May 31 at 9:01 pm.
Participants are required to personally present the physical entry with GUNPLA Box, Entry Receipt, Valid ID, and completed Entry Form.
Participants must personally handle the posing of their entry; assistance is not permitted.
Representative or Proxy is not allowed.
Participants are required to sign a disclaimer form confirming that they personally created the entry.

JUDGING OF ENTRY
June 6, 2026, (SAT) 1:00 pm at The Block SM North Edsa.
Entries can receive final touches before judging on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and on Saturday, June 6, until 12:00 pm.
Winners will be determined by a panel of judges in the presence of a DTI Representative.
CRITERIA FOR JUDGING
Craftmanship = 35%
• Quality of design work and the proper way of building or putting together GUNPLA Model Kit parts to make a completed product.
Painting = 35%
• The correct act of applying paint, pigment, color, or another medium to the GUNPLA Model Kit. The medium is commonly applied to the GUNPLA Model Kit with a brush but other implements, such as sponges, brushes, airbrushes, and other model kit tools.
Idea & Presentation = 30%
• Originality, the total look of entry, and the manner or style in which the GUNPLA Model Kit is exhibited or displayed.
Total = 100%
In case of a tie the panel of judges will re-judge the entries to break the tie.
AWARDING CEREMONY
June 7, 2026 (SUN) 4:00 pm at The Block SM North Edsa.
Participants are urged to be present at the award ceremony, where all entries can be retrieved following the event.
GMKC 2026 winners will also be announced on the Gundam Philippines page.
CLAIMING OF ENTRY & PRIZES
Claiming of entries is on June 7, 2026, at 5: 00 pm
In claiming the winning or non-winning entries and/or prizes, participants should present a valid ID and a copy of the entry form.
In cases where the owner of the entry is not available to claim his/her entries and/or prizes, an authorization letter, copy of the entry form and a valid ID should be presented before the organizer shall release the entries and/or prizes claimed.
If entries and/or prizes are not claimed after the announcement of winners, participants will be notified through registered mail or phone calls. Unclaimed entries and/or prizes can be claimed at the Marketing Department of Ban Kee Trading Inc. Head Office #6 Rest Haven St. SFDM Quezon City; a valid ID and a copy of the entry form are a must to claim the entries and/ or prizes.
Unclaimed prizes and/or winning or non-winning entries within (60) days from notification shall be forfeited in favor of Ban Kee Trading Inc. with prior approval from DTI.
Trophy and Gundam model kit prizes are transferable but not convertible to cash or in any other form.
20% tax for prizes exceeding P10,000 shall be paid by winners.
PROHIBITION:
The use of copied and counterfeit GUNPLA, GUNDAM/GUNPLA accessory products unauthorized by licensors are prohibited.
Works of applicants, descriptions, and other details against any rules and regulations for this contest will be disqualified from the contest without prior notice. BANDAI SPIRITS has the right to disqualify the applications if the model is or may be considered as listed below.
1. Use of copied and counterfeit GUNPLA is prohibited.
2. Works that violate or may violate any third party's portrait rights, intellectual property rights such as copyright, and any other rights are prohibited. (i.e.: No company logos, trademarks, or product lettering (etc.) may be used (unless prior permission has been obtained from their respective right-holders).
3. Works that are contrary to morality or public order are prohibited.
4. Works that contain personal information are prohibited.
5. Works that contain slanderous expressions toward specific people or groups are prohibited.
6. Inappropriate work which is not consistent with the purpose of this competition are prohibited. (Including but not limited to political expression.)
The entrant will be fully responsible for any settlement and any cost that may occur in case of any disputes resulting from the submitted models. The entrants are also responsible for compensation for any damage to BANDAI SPIRITS and/or the Third Parties.
If any substantial additions, alterations, modifications, etc. are discovered during the selection process, work will be disqualified at that time.
Entrants must agree that all intellectual property rights (including rights under Articles 27 and 28 of the Copyright Law in Japan) related to the submitted work, including copyrights based on the GUNPLA (including option parts), belong to our company or to a third party designated by us. Entrants shall not enforce their moral rights.
