Our journey started with a simple question.
Do we really need another skincare brand?
We asked that a lot in the beginning. There were doubts, questions, and moments when even we felt unsure. Not everyone believed in what we were trying to build, and at times, it would have been easier to stop or change. But we kept going because we knew there was something worth building, something rooted in who we are and what we wanted to stand for.
That is how Ynára came to life.
What began as a requirement slowly turned into something personal. Late nights, revisions, overthinking, small wins, and personal breakthroughs shaped this journey. Somewhere along the way, this business plan stopped being just a paper and became a love letter. A love letter to Filipino herbal science, to the communities behind it, and to the purpose we chose to stand for.
Along this journey, we realized this was never just about skincare. It became about showing that Filipino herbal science has a place in everyday life, not just as something people turn to when needed, but as something we can trust and carry with us daily.
More than anything, this was shaped by the people who became part of it.
To our Filipino herbal farmers, thank you for trusting us and welcoming us into your work. We learned so much from you, not just about the herbs, but about the care and effort behind everything you do. We saw how much time, patience, and dedication it takes, and it made us appreciate your work even more. It is not always seen or talked about, but it matters deeply. We hope this is one small way of giving that recognition back to you.
To the solo parents who welcomed us, thank you for opening your homes and sharing your time and stories with us. Your experiences grounded us and reminded us what this is really for.
To those who believed in us, even when things were still uncertain, thank you for your trust and quiet support. It meant more than we can put into words.
And to ourselves, for showing up even when things felt uncertain, for continuing even when it was hard, thank you for holding on. We know how much it took to keep going, even on the days when it felt like nothing was certain.
We are grateful for this moment, but more than that, we are grounded by what truly matters. This was never just about recognition. It has always been about the advocacy we carry and the people behind it.
