Maria Rachelle Gerodias-Park is an internationally acclaimed Filipino soprano, vocal educator, arts administrator, producer, and cultural advocate with over three decades of experience in opera, classical music, vocal education, cultural diplomacy, and international artistic exchange.

She has represented the Philippines in opera productions, concerts, festivals, cultural exchanges, and diplomatic celebrations across Asia, Europe, and North America. She is the Founder and CEO of Bel Canto Opera Philippines, Inc., Founder and Artistic Director of Tinig Kayumanggi, and Owner and Head Vocal Coach/Teacher of Gerodias-Park Vocal Studio.

She is recognized for her extensive international opera and concert career, her advocacy for Filipino classical music and artists, and her continuing work in vocal education and cultural development.

“…Rachelle Gerodias-Park brought brilliance and lamentation. Her rendition of Abelardo’s 1926 “Mutya ng Pasig” showcased the remarkable range of her soprano voice, embodying a goddess mourning her lost kingdom and love.

The number resonated deeply with the audience, leaving the hall in awe of how Gerodias-Park moved through the demanding passages and high notes with ease, piercing through the song’s sorrow and carrying it straight into the hearts of the listeners.

Then came Byeong-In Park’s performance of Francisco Santiago’s “Pakiusap.” His rich baritone voice provided contrast to the earlier performances, marked by its emotional nuance and intricate dynamics as he embodied the anguish of a pauper falling in love with a fair maiden.

As the Manila Symphony Orchestra set the stage for “Opera at Kundiman: The Legacy of Maestra Conching Rosal” under the baton of conductor Marlon Chen, Michelle Mariposa brought to life the fierce heroine of Georges Bizet’s Carmen at the Far Eastern University Auditorium last September 1, 2026.

I’m especially proud that this passion project of mine—to give a fitting tribute to the legendary Sylvia La Torre—first became a reality last year at the Manila Metropolitan Theater, through the support of the Filipino Heritage Festival and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts. Today, seeing the first leg of the Ibyang, Mahal Kita! tour become a resounding success fills my heart with gratitude.

From Manila, we are now bringing this tribute beyond Luzon, and I pray that one day we can share Sylvia La Torre’s extraordinary legacy with audiences all over the world.

Diwa ng Kumintang is a dance - music suite that brings to life the cultural soul of Batangas, rooted in the ancient land once known as Kumintang. It traces the journey of a people through time - where dance began as sacred ritual, evolved into expressions of courage and courtship, and blossomed into song that celebrates love, identity, and pride. From the solemn, prayerful movements of Subli (Talumpok) to the heroic legend of Princesa ng Kumintang, from the refined gestures of Kumintang to the joyful melody of Batangueña, the repertoire weaves ritual, history, and artistry into one continuous narrative. Each work reflects the Batangueño spirit - resilient yet tender, disciplined yet poetic. Diwa ng Kumintang is not merely a performance, but a living testament to heritage - where memory moves through the body, music carries identity, and the enduring spirit of Batangas is shared from one generation to the next.
