From the pages of the beloved comic book to the big screen — ‘Ella Arcangel’ comes to life in a new animated film!
GMA Pictures teams up with the creators of ‘Ella Arcangel,’ the Filipino horror-fantasy comic series, to bring to cinemas the story of a young girl fighting both men and mythical monsters in the city in ‘Ella Arcangel: Awit ng Pangil at Kuko.’
Adapted from the acclaimed 2017 comic series by Julius Villanueva, the film is brought to life by National Book Awardee Mervin Malonzo (‘Tabi Po’), who directs and leads the team reimagining Ella’s gritty world through striking digital animation.
The film is produced by Manny Angeles and Avid Liongoren, the creative duo behind ‘Hayop Ka! The Nimfa Dimaano Story.’
Watch out for Ella, Mimiw, and Pangil — coming to cinemas in 2026!
