The 𝗦𝗲𝗷𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝘆 is a global cultural education program organized by the 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗲𝗷𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 and 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 to promote high-quality, structured Korean culture courses around the world.

By developing programs that reflect local interests and dispatching Korean culture experts overseas, the 𝗦𝗲𝗷𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝘆 enables King Sejong Institute students and local communities to experience Korean culture firsthand through meaningful cultural exchange and intercultural learning.

Since 2016, more than 184,000 participants worldwide have explored Korean culture through the Sejong Culture Academy. In 2026, the program is being offered in 217 King Sejong Institutes across 80 countries, featuring 12 diverse Korean cultural courses that showcase the beauty and richness of Korea.

Over two exciting days, our participants discovered the stories, history, and regional traditions behind Korean cuisine through engaging lectures and hands-on cooking sessions led by our lecturer, 𝗕𝗮𝗶𝗸 𝗝𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗮𝗻, as part of the program supported by the 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 of the Republic of Korea.

Over the past two days, participants immersed themselves in Korean food culture by learning about the history, regional characteristics, and traditions behind some of Korea’s most beloved dishes. Under the guidance of our lecturer, Baik Jong Ran 선생님, everyone had the opportunity to transform what they learned into a hands-on culinary experience.

🍗 𝗔𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗝𝗷𝗶𝗺𝗱𝗮𝗸 (안동찜닭) – A hearty braised chicken dish originating from Andong, known for its rich soy-based sauce and glass noodles.
🥬 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗻𝗮𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗷𝗲𝗼𝗻 (동래파전) – A savory green onion pancake from Busan, celebrated as one of Korea’s iconic regional specialties.

In this picture, are our fellow educators from King Sejong Institute Quezon City 2 - Ateneo de Manila University King Sejong Institute - Balanga City King Sejong Institute Muñoz, Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines, who joined more than 550 Korean language educators from around the world to exchange ideas, explore innovative teaching methodologies, and discuss the future of Korean language education in the age of AI.

One memorable highlight was Teacher Marco’s opportunity to meet and take a photo with Hyunwoo Sun, CEO and co-founder of Talk To Me In Korean (TTMIK), whose educational resources have inspired countless Korean language learners worldwide.

At KSI QC 1, we believe that investing in our teachers is an investment in our students. The knowledge, global perspectives, and innovative teaching strategies gained from this international training will help us continue providing a richer, more engaging, and higher-quality Korean language learning experience.

Our team has been hard at work preparing everything for the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗦𝗲𝗷𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝘆: 𝗞-𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀, and we can’t wait to welcome our participants tomorrow!
