VERSION 1.1.0A ANALYSIS: PURGING THE SYSTEM BEFORE RONIN DEX RELEASE
Let's face it: Botting is a serious problem.
Botters are also the ones who typically sell all their SLP's and not use them for breeding (they usually buy chops axies) thus bumababa ang SLP price, damaging the Axie Economy.
Since malapit nang marelease ang RONIN DEx, with Devs & Discord Mods heavily teasing it, one possible scenario is they will introduce the RON Token, and what better way to introduce it than to do a RON Airdrop sa mga legit accounts and legit wallets, right? (dubious speculation, but probable)
My guess is kaya nila nililinis ang Bots para sa success ng Ronin DEx launch and to reward the legit players.
Thankfully, Devs are more aggressively trying to abate botting, pero sadly there are also collateral damages lalo sa mga newbies and low-MMR players.
Let's look at the possible effects of the newest patch:
PROS:
SLP Mint Rate for at least 25% of all accounts (~500k players or bots) decreased by at least 25SLP, maximum decrease is 75SLP. This is a decrease on total minted SLP of at least 12.5 million SLP to max. 37.5 million SLP minted per day; overall around 1Billion SLP/ month will be gone [good for SLP prices].
Bot earnings are now ulitmately limited to 50SLP/day in adventure mode (no Arena to retain 800MMR, No daily quests)
For higher-MMR players - mostly unaffected, and they can now buy floor axies with lower prices, so pwede na silang magkaron ng 40-60 energy/day with a cheaper budget.
CONS:
Low-MMR scholars and managers will be forced to upgrade their teams or step up their game, gastos ulit sila (good for coherent Axie breeders, bad for useless/chops Axie breeders)
Inevitalby, some newbies and casual players will fall below 800MMR easily dahil mas magiging competitive ang Arena. This can serve as a barrier for entry dahil need nilang magpurchase ng higher-quality Axies. I'm thinking if kaya ng lahat ng players na makatungtong sa 800+ MMR, this is an optimal patch (which I highly doubt).
So overall, Bots can still earn 50SLP/Day. My bet is hindi pa rin sapat 'to, and the Devs will implement more changes to abate botting, since ganun talaga siya ka-damaging sa Axie Ecosystem.
Mainam na rin mag anticipate para di na tayo manibago and to make better financial decisions when buying/breeding axies.
Possible Next Implementations by the Devs:
New accounts will now start below or at 800 MMR (to further hurt bots)
Disable SLP gain in Adventure unless you win 5x in Arena first (will DEFINITELY hurt bots)
Retain the minimum 75 SLP per day, but impose a 25 SLP limit on adventure, 50SLP per claiming of Daily Quest (will hurt bots)
Flag and verify accounts doing only Adventure Mode.
TL;DR: Axie is the game that just keeps on giving and ayos din that they're doing something to prevent bad actors exploiting the market. Good patch overall.
