Discover the soulful artistry of Redempto Anda, a Palawan-based journalist and musician. A graduate of Bachelor of Music, major in Composition at the PWU Conservatory, Dempto cut his teeth as a working student in Manila’s vibrant jazz bands and hotel lounges. On the side he was teaching classical guitar at the Yamaha School of Music while on writing assignments for magazines and news publications.

Dempto is currently the editor and publisher of Palawan News, the province’s most respected news publication. As a journalist, he had worked for The Manila Chronicle and the Philippine Daily Inquirer.

Catch his one-of-a-kind performances regularly at Wanderlust Bed and Breakfast and Pagetek Food Court, where his fusion of jazz, classical, and original compositions enchants audiences. Dempto is the embodiment of music and storytelling in perfect harmony.

Kakoy Legaspi is a highly respected Filipino musician, composer, and guitarist whose artistry transcends genres, generations, and disciplines. A versatile session artist and musical director, he has collaborated with many of the country’s most celebrated musicians — including Ebe Dancel, Yeng Constantino, Joey Ayala, Noel Cabangon, Bamboo, Barbie Almalbis, Johnoy Danao, and Bullet Dumas — and currently performs with D**g Abay Music Organization and Braspaspaspaspas.

Renowned for his emotive guitar work and signature sound that fuses Filipino soul with world and ambient influences, Kakoy has also brought his musical sensibility to film scores, theater productions, and live performances — crafting soundscapes that listen as deeply as they speak.

Whether onstage, in the studio, or guiding emerging artists, Kakoy remains a steadfast advocate for authenticity, collaboration, and the transformative power of music to bridge people, cultures, and stories.

Meet the creative minds guiding the first Pamati: Score-Your-Stories Camp — four artists whose works celebrate truth, rhythm, and imagination:

DANTE NICO GARCIA — Filmmaker behind Ploning, whose visual poetry and love for stories of place continue to inspire young Palawan artists.

DEMPTO ANDA — Palawan-based musician and journalist whose roots in reportage and community storytelling ground his music in honesty, heart, and purpose.

KAKOY LEGASPI — Esteemed guitarist known for his soulful playing and genre-defying collaborations across the Filipino music scene.

JUN SABAYTON — Director, actor, and satirist who blends humor and insight to uncover the stories within our shared absurdities.

Together, they’ll lead Pamati participants in discovering how sound, story, and soul can come together to create powerful works of art.
