Iisang WPU, Makulay at mahusay!

September 23, 2025—The first Ramu-Ramu Festival at Western Philippines University - Puerto Princesa City (WPU-PPC) Campus at Ramon V. Mitra Sports Complex with the theme “Resilience, Ancestry, Movement, Unity: WPU, Nagkakaisa sa Lakas, Sining, at Diwang Katutubo”.

The highlights features was the colorful parade of the five competing teams from different colleges, students, faculty, staff, the officials and working committees and the KanTugYaw Performing Arts Troupe.

The WPU KanTugYaw showcased an energetic performance through a lively Festival Dance.

Western Philippines University – Puerto Princesa Campus held its official oath-taking ceremony for the newly elected student leaders for AY 2025–2026 at WPU PPC Manuel T. Bacosa Theater.

The KanTugYaw Performing Arts Troupe, a recognized campus organization, actively participated in the ceremony. The troupe pledged to lead with passion and purpose, showcasing their dedication inspiring the wpu community through their performances. KanTugYaw Performing Arts Troupe is set to shine on stage, bringing life to every performance, as headed by President Kent Jay Martos and the support of the Adviser Asst. Prof. Romelyn T. Dacanay and Co-Adviser Asso. Prof. Susana P. Egger.

Attended by the KanTugYaw Performing Arts Troupe with EEDSO, held on August 29, 2025, at Bacosa Theatre Arts.

With the Filipino International Puppet Artist—the Guest Speaker, Mr. Ernesto F. Sarangaya EdD.

This event aims to showcase the rich cultural heritage of our city—Puerto Princesa City, through innovative dance performances intertwined with the captivating art of puppetry in preparation for the celebration of Tourism Month 2025.
