🎨 Meet the Artist Behind El Dosado Summer Art Camp

I am El Dosado—a multidisciplinary artist, author, and part-time art teacher at Gamot Cogon Waldorf School in Iloilo.

With a Fine Arts degree in Advertising from Philippine Women’s University (1993), my journey in art has been shaped not only by skill, but by a deep commitment to honesty, integrity, and meaning.

Over the years, I’ve held 9 exhibits—7 solo shows and 2 collaborative exhibitions with my son, Elijah. My work is rooted in a deep connection to nature, culture, and the divine.

I am especially drawn to illustrating Philippine elemental beings—our enkanto—as a way of honoring the sacred balance within our natural world and cultural heritage.

I am also the author and illustrator of Encounters with the Enkanto, a book that celebrates the mystical spirit of our land. Beyond this, I find joy in capturing the beauty of Philippine country life and reimagining beloved cartoon characters through my own lens.

For me, creativity is a form of prayer—a quiet offering, a way of sharing the wonder of God’s creation.

Thank you for allowing me to share this journey with you. May the art we create and encounter continue to inspire, uplift, and reconnect us to what truly matters. ✨

Art Unbound Saturday Artcapades at the Happy Farm
April 11, 2026

Meet our needle felting group, who just completed their very first project—needle felted crowns 👑

Learning to needle felt (and sew!) has been quite the journey. Some took to it right away, working quietly and steadily. Others zoomed through with excitement—breaking a few needles along the way—and gently learning the art of slowing down, taking time, and really working the fibers so they hold.

Each piece reflected its maker. Different rhythms, different personalities—beautifully expressed in wool.

There was focus, laughter, a bit of trial and error… and of course, time to play afterwards 🌿

We wish we had taken more photos—but we were too immersed in the moment.

Because that’s what art does.
Whether it’s felting, painting, or something else entirely—
it draws something true out of each person.

It’s why we do what we do.

If you’d like to support our advocacy of creating spaces where art can be experienced freely or at minimal cost, we’d love to hear from you 💛
