We are thrilled to extend a heartfelt invitation to you to join us in celebrating the 3rd Ambahanon sa Pototan 2025. This exciting occasion will feature the Ambahanon Music Festival a prestigious chorale competition hosted by: Mayor Adi Lazaro and the town of Pototan.
The Pototan Christmas Choral Competition will take place on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 6:00 PM, at the outside of Pototan Municipal Hall. It is our pleasure to invite schools, churches, choral groups, singing ensembles, and any community group to participate in this event, as we celebrate the beauty of music and culture.
Prizes at Stake:
β’ Champion: Php50,000.00 plus Trophy
β’ 1st Runner-Up: Php30,000.00 plus Trophy
β’ 2nd Runner-Up: Php20,000.00 plus Trophy
β’ Consolation Prizes: Php5,000.00 with Certificate of Participation

Best in Interpreter of Compulsory Piece

Competition Requirements
Eligibility:
1. Open to all chorale groups from Region VI and NIR, including schools, churches, or community-based choirs.
2. No age limit for participants.
3. Minimum/Maximum Number of Singers: 20 to 30.
4. Total Performance Time: Maximum of 15 minutes, including entrance and exit.
Repertoire:
1. Compulsory Song: A piece selected by the Ambahanon Committee.
2. Christmas Song: A song of the groupβs choice that fits the holiday theme.
3. Free Choice Song: A piece from any genre, such as folklore, classical, show tunes, pop, religious, or inspirational music. (Medleys are not allowed).
Performance Details:
1. Costumes & Choreography: Costumes and creative choreography are encouraged, and hand props are allowed.
2. Instrumentation: Recorded accompaniment is allowed if needed
Rules & Regulations:
1. One Entry Per Performer: A singer may participate in only one competing entry.
2. Conductorβs Role: The conductor can only represent one entry.
3. Performance Order: The order of performances will be determined by a drawing of lots.
4. Notification: All participating groups will be notified through their official representatives.
5. Copyright: Any pieces not in the public domain must have written permission or approval from the composer/arranger.
6. Media: By entering, all participants agree that photographs, videos, and recordings of the event may be publicly published or shown by Ambahanon organizers.
7. Judging: The decision of the judges is final and irrevocable.
8. Protests: In case of any protest, only the official representative of the entry can approach the competition organizers on the day of the event.
9. Scores: Individual scores/ranks will not be disclosed to participants.
