A theatre group based in Tabang Plaridel Bulacan was founded in April 03, 2008 and formally launched in June 01, 2008 with the theme “Arts of Modern Youth for aBetter Tomorrow”. It is composed of students & professional theatre artist with the main objectives of enriching arts & culture in Bulacan and developing a professional theatre company in the field of culture and the arts to be recognized n
ot only in Bulacan but in the other parts of the Archipelago and in other countries as well, and to strengthen Teatro Republika as an organization of performers. started its 1st Laboratory Theatre Workshop with 30 participants composed of students & out of school youth last April 03, 2008. The Trainings involved all the elements of theatre arts. Workshoppers learned the basic of acting, directing, script writing, stage management, production management, make-up, costumes, props, production designing, dance, technical trainings for theatre. The workshops were given for free to underprivileged youth of the community, they were also trained to help the less fortunate people by means of outreach program. The organization also envisions granting scholarships to poor but deserving students and its members. Through this cultural workers would have the chance to study and be educated. After few months of hard work & determination the group already made one step towards its vision & goals to empower the youth of today through culture and arts. The group performed in several events, during “Datu Lapu Lapu” Battle of Mactan Anniversary April 27, 2008 at the Lapu Lapu Shrine Luneta Park, National Flag Day Bahay Saliksikan Ng Bulacan May 28, 2008 at Bulacan State University Heroes Park, General Assembly Kapatirang Viernes De Sampaguita II Inc. June 07, 2008 at Villa Emilia Tabe, Guiguinto Bulacan, 110 & 111 Celebration of Philippine Independence Day June 12, 2008 & 2009 at the Municipality of Plaridel Bulacan, Mobile Theatre “Bubungan Lata” & “Pitong Taon” November 28, 2008 at Calumpit National High School. The group mounted a big production last October 03, 2009 at Don Caesareo San Diego Gym with the theme “Sining ay Edukasyon Tagumpay ng Kabataan” with the 3 theatre groups which was founded by Teatro Republika Inc, this group were named BUTIL (Batang Usbong sa Talino at Inaning Lakas) Banga Elementary School, PLUMA (Palihan ng Lahing Ugat na Mahusay na Adhikain) Dr. Felipe De Jesus National High School UGAT (Unlad Galing sa Angking Talino) OSY, Alternative Learning System. Recently the group performed during the commemoration of 111th Anniversary of “Battle of Quinqua” at Agnaya Plaridel Bulacan organized by the Municipality of Plaridel Bulacan. will be celebrating its 5th year anniversary on April 03, 2014 as part of the groups commitment to youth & community development, the group will be conducting a “Summer Acting Workshop” for acting on TV, & Film all participants will be given a basic acting on tv and film recital will be thru a short film that will be participated by the workshoppers. Potential particapants can have a chance to guest on different drama series of GMA7, ABS CBN2 & TV5 and indie film production as well. This workshop will be FREE for out of school youth.
