The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) community welcomed home its pride, the CBSUA Chorale, during the flag-raising ceremony held today, March 9, 2026, in recognition of the groupโ€™s outstanding performance at the Korea International Choir Competition held at the Songdo Campus of Incheon National University in Incheon, South Korea.

The chorale brought honor to the University and the country after winning the Gold Award โ€“ Category Winner in the Pop and Jazz category and the Silver Award in the Mixed Choir category. The group was also hailed as a Top 8 finalist in the 2026 KICC Grand Prix Finals.

The CBSUA Chorale, under the direction of their conductor Cris Caryl B. Yu, achieved remarkable success at the 2026 Korea International Choir Competition.

Competing against 65 choirs from different parts of the world, the ensemble demonstrated exceptional musicality, discipline, and artistry, earning the following distinctions:

The CBSUA Chorale successfully conducted a Choral Clinic with ๐Œ๐ซ. ๐‰๐จ๐ฃ๐ข๐ž ๐๐š๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐š, distinguished member of the ๐™๐™Ž๐™ ๐™Ž๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™œ๐™š๐™ง๐™จ and experienced tour manager, held at the Function Hall, 3rd Floor, SWKS Building, CBSUAโ€“Pili Campus.

The session focused on vocal refinement, tonal blend, musical interpretation, and stage discipline, essential elements in elevating our artistry to international standards. With his expertise and guidance, the choir gained valuable insights that will further strengthen our unity and performance quality.
