"Why do we normalize 'necessary evils'?" 🐊⚖️

In an exclusive interview with FilipinoArt.ph's Oliver Oliveros and Rem Delos Reyes, 2026 MADE Grand Winner for Sculpture Aldrin Olaguer breaks down the inspiration behind his award-winning piece, “Hinahalal, Binabanal” (The Chosen, The Sanctified).

Rather than targeting specific individuals, Olaguer subverts the traditional holy water font with a crocodile motif to question broader societal paradigms—asking how moral compromises and corrupt systems come to be accepted as "normal."
