For the second year in a row, I was chosen by the Office of the President to be the official live English language translator for the president as he delivered the State of the Nation Address (SONA). To this day, I remain the only person to be the official simultaneous English translator of the SONA since 1935.

Regardless of any political views, it is still a great honor to be the voice of the President of the Philippines. I recited his speech at the same time as him (him in Filipino, me in English) so that the foreign guests can understand. Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!
