Familiar with Blue Bolts?

Did you know there are Red Bolts too? A stunning red variation that’s definitely worth adding to your shrimp collection!

Which one would you pick, Blue or Red? 👀

Have you ever wondered just how tiny newly hatched Caridina shrimp really are?

Sharing the first batch of island-born Red Boas!

It’s amazing to see these little ones starting their journey from just a few millimeters, especially knowing they were born and raised right here on the island.

Small now, but hopefully future stunners.

MALE OR FEMALE?

Okay, Caridina keepers… let’s test your shrimp-spotting skills!

Take a good look at this little one and tell me your guess:

MALE or FEMALE?

Don’t overthink it — trust your eyes!

💡 FUN FACT:
One of the easiest ways to s*x Caridina shrimp is to look at their body shape. Females are generally more rounded and have a deeper, fuller abdomen, while males tend to have a slimmer, straighter body.

And here’s the tricky part… young shrimp can be REALLY difficult to s*x, so sometimes even experienced keepers can get fooled! 😂

🎯 Your challenge:
Comment MALE 🦐 or FEMALE 🦐 below and let’s see who gets it right!

No changing your answer after seeing everyone else’s guesses! 👀😂

Feeding healthy shrimp starts with feeding less, not more. 🍃 A small amount they can finish in a few hours helps maintain excellent water quality and keeps your Caridinas thriving.

Another exciting addition made its way to the Philippines! 🇵🇭🦐

Depending on which part of Asia you’re in, these beauties are known as Sunset Boas or Pink Boas. Me? I just call them beautiful.

Their soft pink and warm sunset tones make them stand out in the best way possible, and I can’t wait to start working with them and see how they develop here.

Stay tuned—this is just the beginning. 👀

Truly an honor to visit one of Hong Kong’s top Caridina breeders XYZ Team Shrimp Club（香港水晶蝦專賣店） and I was amazed by the incredible variety of strains and how efficient a well-designed shrimp room can be. Definitely came home with plenty of inspiration… and maybe a few special Caridina that I’ll be introducing to the Philippines soon. 👀🦐🇵🇭 Stay tuned!

Those spider-like legs?

A signature trait of Hornet Caridina, refined through generations of selective breeding to create the intricate patterns we admire today.

Caridina shrimp constantly graze on algae surfaces, feeding on the biofilm, microorganisms, and tiny particles that grow within it. In a mature tank, patches of green algae can become a natural feeding ground that keeps your shrimp active throughout the day.

The key is balance—healthy algae growth can be a sign of a stable ecosystem, while excessive algae may indicate excess nutrients or lighting.

Nature’s buffet is sometimes green. 🍃🦐

Hornets 🐝

Some are yellow, some are orange. At this point, it’s all about preference — both look amazing either way.
