FORGIVENESS
MATTHEW 18:21-35

Gossip can easily come back to you. When we spread rumors, expose someone's private matters, or speak badly about them behind their back, we may eventually find ourselves being talked about in the same way.

Gossip can damage reputations, friendships, trust, and relationships—even when what is being said isn't completely true.

✅Life lesson

Don't say behind someone's back what you wouldn't say to their face.

Before repeating something, ask yourself:

Is it true?
Is it necessary?
Is it kind?
Would I want someone saying this about me?

You don't have to participate in every conversation. Sometimes wisdom is knowing when to remain silent.

📖Bible verse

Proverbs 16:28 says:

“A perverse person stirs up conflict, and a gossip separates close friends.”

And Ephesians 4:29 says:

“Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up.”

✅Deeper lesson

The same tongue you use to tear someone down can eventually be used to tear you down.

Choose words that protect people's dignity rather than destroy their reputation. You may forget what you said, but the person you spoke about may never forget the damage it caused.
