A STORY OF UNCONDITIONAL LOVE LIES IN THE MOON AND THE BAKUNAWA
The Moon and the Bakunawa captivated the hearts of its audience during its playdates last 18 and 19 of April 2026 at Jayne Offemaria-Abuid (JOA) Auditorium, Deck 12 of AIMS Tower. The play was directed by Mr. Roobak Valle, written by Mr. Ben Nitoy Chan Jr.
The production featured powerful performances from AIMS President Dr. Arlene Abuid-Paderanga and Ms. Divina Cavestany, who alternates for the role of "Mamay", while AIMS Cultural Affairs Associate Mr. Remus Villanueva and Mr. Phil Panganiban alternates for the role of "Tongyong".
The Moon and the Bakunawa story is a remarkable story raising awareness about the emotional realities faced by individuals and families dealing with dementia.
AIMS may know as a maritime institution but its knowledge exchange when it comes to raising awareness on social issues is noteworthy.
