Aliw Theater is home to the largest orchestra pit in the country. And it is always a joy to have brilliant musical minds and artists play in the pit!

Maestro Gerard Salonga is the musical director and orchestra conductor for RISE!, the first public performance in the newly renovated main theater. He conducts a bespoke orchestra that he personally handpicked for the show.

RISE! also features Lisa Macuja Elizalde, Ballet Manila, Bituin Escalante, Jade Riccio, Ivan Nery, Chris Arceo, and a 12-voice opera ensemble.

RISE! performances are today at 8:00 p.m. and October 9, Sunday at 5:00 p.m.

Aliw Theater is proud to be the official venue of the Manila Regionals leg of the Asian Grand Prix 2022 (AGP). AGP aims to provide opportunities for young dancers in the Asia Pacific region to demonstrate their talents and learn from international teachers and experts.

It will be a gathering of exceptional talent in classical ballet from dance schools across the country!

Ballet Manila and Aliw Theater mark a triumphant return to live performance with “Rise!” A double bill featuring Lisa Macuja Elizalde’s ballet version of “La Traviata” and a pop program with “Ballet & Ballads”, the show brings together classical ballet, opera, live orchestra, and pop music in the inimitable Ballet Manila way.

Featured artists are Bituin Escalante, Jade Riccio, Ivan Nery, and the Ballet Manila performing company. Maestro Gerard Salonga is musical director and conductor of a 60-piece bespoke orchestra.
