One of the most demanding piano pieces ever written is La Campanella by Franz Liszt.
The piece is famous for its huge jumps, lightning-fast notes, and delicate “bell-like” melody. Many pianists consider it a technical nightmare because your hands constantly leap across the keyboard with almost no room for error.
Fun twist: Liszt based it on a violin theme by Niccolò Paganini — a musician so insanely skilled that people in the 1800s thought he had made a deal with the devil. 🎹😈
