"Some of You, Eus"
Somewhat, I am left standing like a fragile thing,
My legs are giving out, my heart is losing its wings,
You came like a storm, you swept me away,
Lost in the darkness; left in the void with no escape.
Somewhere in the streets of Santa Rosa, to the bypass of Bulacan,
I see your ghost, your memories— my what-ifs and my maybes,
Sounds of laughter, the traces of my tears and your voice in the night,
Reminding me of what we had, of what we lost, of what we could've been.
Until now, I try reach for you; it’s a reflex, a habit, a long-term heartache,
The street lights, the stars, the complexity of night sky, reminds me of your absence,
An empty feeling, a growing sense of loss,
You are gone, and I'm left here alone; trying to rewind back, trying to pause.
