JESUS IS NOT JUST OUR SAVIOR, HE IS THE LORD

STORY TIME!
While sitting in the passenger seat of a Grab vehicle, I had a brief moment to share the goodness of God with the driver. In the middle of our conversation, he suddenly asked me a question that deeply struck me.
Driver:
“Kung si Jesus naa pa karon nga panahon, dawaton ba kaha Siya sa mga tawo o dili?”
Me:
(A bit shocked and silently contemplating. The way he asked it almost led me to answer “No.” But instead, I answered:)
“Yes.”
Because if the death and resurrection of Jesus were still not enough to convince people to follow Him, then no miracle would ever be enough to change a heart unwilling to surrender.
Many people want Jesus as Savior, but not as Lord.
They want rescue, but not surrender.
Blessings, but not obedience.
Comfort, but not holiness.
- Some continue living their own way, and when the consequences of their actions come, they immediately run back to Jesus for rescue.
- Some know Jesus intellectually, yet reject His words in their hearts. They know He teaches forgiveness, yet still choose bitterness and hatred.
- Some come to Him asking for financial blessings, but reject His correction regarding greed, overspending, giving, offering, and tithing.
- Some ask Him for healing, yet ignore wisdom in caring for their bodies, continuing destructive habits that slowly destroy their health.
- Some come to Him for peace and rest, yet refuse the call to deny themselves and follow His mission.
This is why I believe that even if Jesus walked visibly among people today, performing signs and wonders, many would still reject Him—not because He lacks power, but because people often love their own lifestyle more than holiness.
To many, holiness feels “too much,” “too extreme,” or “too uncomfortable” because sin has become their place of comfort.
But one thing people must understand:
Whether we follow Jesus or follow ourselves,
🛑 Suffering will still exist.
🛑 Misunderstandings will still happen.
🛑 Frustrations will still come.
But Jesus promised that in the midst of these hardships, those who follow Him will find
✅ peace,
✅ contentment,
✅ purpose,
✅ and eternal reward in everything surrendered to Him.
Always remember: Life is like a mist— today we’re here and tomorrow we might be gone.
Come to Jesus not only as Savior, but as Lord, Master, and King of your life—fully surrendered, fully yielded, and willing to follow Him wherever He leads.
