Do you need a wedding emcee/host? Why should you hire one?
Emceeing/Hosting is not about merely talking in front. The job entails meeting up with couples and creating programs that would entice their guests to stay even if they have work and school the following day, even if they live far away, even if it's raining hard. It's also about building relationships not just with brides and grooms but with fellow suppliers. It requires arriving on time to do briefings and run throughs with coords, sound and led/projector techs, and the members of the entourage. Thus, hosting/emceeing is not just about having a good command of a particular language or talking in front. The job requires so much more than being a mouthpiece.
