This painting tells a symbolic story of life, transformation, and unity.
At the center stands a towering green tree trunk, its bark textured and veins glowing faintly with vibrant life. It divides the canvas into two mirrored halves, each crowned with dense, reddish foliage teeming with delicate white branches. These trees seem alive, almost breathing, with their crown-like canopies embracing the space around them.
The background is a soft, surreal gradient of wavy golden hues, like flowing sand or the sky at dawn. On the right side, a lone red sun floats — a symbol of life, time, or perhaps a distant dream.
Story: In a realm between dreams and reality stood the "Tree of Dual Hearts." This ancient tree was believed to grow between two dimensions — one of memory, and one of hope. Each half of its crown bore the emotions and stories of the people who once rested beneath it: joy, pain, love, and growth — tangled like veins in the autumn foliage.
The green trunk held the balance between the past and the future, nourished by the energy of countless lives. The sun, forever fixed in an amber sky, represented the soul that watches — constant, burning, and present even as time ebbs in waves behind it.
The artist, Caroline Cainto, marked the piece as "2/20," perhaps indicating a part of a series exploring such spiritual landscapes. Her work invites the viewer to reflect on the dualities in their own life — division and wholeness, rootedness and movement, decay and bloom.
