What is Cherry Ion?
Cherry Ion is a portable air purifier that delivers fresh air anytime, anywhere. It is considered a personal rechargeable air purifier that continuously emits 50 million healthy Anions (negatively-charged ions) per cm3 / second and takes away airborne pollutants like viruses, pollen, smoke, molds and dust mites.
How does Cherry Ion work?
Cherry Ion has 2 brushes on the top right and left side that emits 50 million electrically negative charged molecules or atoms called Anions- these anions transfer the charge to particles—such as one carrying a flu virus—in the user's breathing zone and since like-charged particles repel each other, they are pushed out of the breathing zone.
The Cherry Ion serves as your shield from all viruses, bacteria, allergens and other elements that may cause sickness.
What are negative ions?
Negative ions are clean and healthy molecules floating in the air or atmosphere that have been charged with electricity. It is also shown to have beneficial effects on one’s physical and mental health. Can you leave Cherry Ion on continuously?

Can you bring Cherry Ion on your flight?
Yes, there are no laws that prohibit portable air purifiers on airplane flights. Moreover it is recommended to have a Cherry Ion on your flight because of the limited and confined space inside airplane cabins.

Does the Cherry Ion have a filter that needs to be replaced or cleaned on a regular basis?
No. The Cherry Ion does not have a filter that needs replacing. The method of producing negatively-charged ions and emitting them in the air as a way to clean and sterilize it is a very different method of air purification compared to HEPA air purifiers that uses a fan to draw in air and a filter to collect the airborne pollutants before pushing the air back into a room.
Is this the same as HEPA air purifier/filter?
No. Aside from it being not portable, the HEPA air purifier/filter uses a built-in fan that draws air inside the unit and through a filter it before pushing fresh air back into the room.
On the other hand, the Cherry Ion emits 50 million negative ions (anions) within the 3-feet radius around your head (when worn as a necklace) which serves as an invisible shield from bad airborne elements such as bacteria, viruses, germs, allergens, dust, mold, cigarette smoke, etc.
The negative ions that the device emits naturally bonds with pollutants to weigh them down and not enter your breathing space. Only fresh and clean air remains for healthy and safe breathing.
Is it true that a high level of negative ions (especially in an enclosed environment) is bad for you?
No, it's not. Negative ions (in high concentration) have not been proven harmful to anyone. As a matter of fact, it's actually beneficial for your physical and mental health and well-being.
Can you use the Cherry Ion if you're wearing a pacemaker?
We don't advise it because once you have a pacemaker, you have to avoid close or prolonged contact with electrical devices or devices that have strong magnetic fields, including phones and the Cherry Ion.
