August 09 | 19th Sunday in Ordinary Time

As we serve today with utmost sincerity, we sang as one choir with graceful hearts as we sang praise to the Lord.

In our Gospel today (Matthew 14:22-23), we are taught to profess and nourish our faith in solitude. Just like how Jesus dismissed the crowd, led His disciples into the boat ahead of Him, and going to the mountainside to pray, we are reminded that sometimes, all we need is an alone time with God to have a heart-to-heart talk with Him—through prayer. And so, just like Jesus, preach the Word of God with grace to everyone, but always have a quiet moment with God in prayer.

Another Sunday service full of laughter and blessings with the JMMC Choir! We wish all of you warmth in God's grace in these rainy days.

Serving the Church today through music wasn't just about singing—it was a moment of gratitude and reflection for the blessings we have in life. Despite the rainy days, we still somehow find a way to connect with each other and serve as a ray of sunshine for one another.

In our first reading today (1 Kings 19:9, 11-13), we are called to cast our fears and put our trust in God. Prophet Elijah was an anxious man, and there are also moments where we fall in our own doubts and fears just like him. Nevertheless, we must remember that the Lord is there to anchor us to the right path and we shall not fear for what's ahead of us, for what shall happen is in His hands and you shall not fear.

'Tis yet another graceful and joyful service with the JMMC Choir today. We may have a few missed notes that we couldn't hit, but our hearts surely spoke our faith with our combined voices. With that, we extend our warmest greetings of a happy Saturday to all in these rainy days!

As we serve today with utmost sincerity, we bring the joy of our passion to serving the Lord. We serve today with harmonious songs, singing with gladness as we rest after practice and bond through music. Singing together lights up our day and makes our bond even stronger, making our Saturday Mass service extra special.

July 19 | Ika-16 na Linggo sa Karaniwang Panahon

Isang magandang linggo ng pag-awit at pagdiriwang sa ika-16 na Linggo sa Karaniwang Panahon.
Linggong puno ng pag-eensayo at pag-aaral.
At bilang pasasalamat sa talentong pag-awit, tiniyak naming buong puso at buong husay maibigay ang aming makakaya sa bawat awiting aming natutunan. Tiniyak din naming kami ay uuwing hindi lang magbibitbit ng kaalaman sa mga kantang aming inaral, kundi maiuwi rin ang mga aral na mula sa salita at gawa ng Diyos.

Mula sa Mabuting Balita at sa homiliya nitong Linggo (Mateo 13:24-30), aming natutunan na ang Diyos ay patas at mapagpatawad. Sa pagwawangis sa trigo at sa mapanirang damo sa parabulang ito, natutunan namin na hindi agad inuubos ng Diyos ang masasama upang bigyan sila ng pagkakataong magbago, dahil sa oras ng ani pa mangyayari ang tunay na paghuhukom.
Kaya naman, habang maaga pa at hindi pa oras ng pag-aani, mabuti nang tayo ay maging isang trigo at 'wag nang maging mapanirang damo.

Tunay na kasiya-siya ang araw na ito! Kaya naman kasama ang JMMC, isa na namang magandang Linggo ng pagseserbisyo!

What an incredible Saturday filled with laughter and joy during our Anticipated Mass! Before Mass started, we spent our spare time bonding over fun new vocal warm-ups that didn't just warm up our voices, but also brightened our smiles. It was a beautiful Saturday indeed as we served together, singing from the heart with warm smiles.

July 12 | Fifteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

As we serve today with utmost dedication to God, we learned not just new songs and voicings but also another Word of God. We are given the mind to think and learn, the knowledge to adapt and improve, and free will to use with utmost care and responsibility. We must return the favor and use our minds, knowledge, and free will to learn God's Word and live it out.

Through our participation, we learned today from the first reading from the Book of Isaiah (Isaiah 55:10-11) that God's Word isn’t just for Him or for us to keep, but for us to spread. As children of God, we are expected to remember, share, and live out His teachings.
