The Hiwayaw Folkloric Dance Company from Cataingan National High School has departed for Taipei, Taiwan, to represent the Philippines at the 2025 Yi-Lan International Children’s Folklore and Folkgame Festival (YICFFF). As the sole Philippine delegation, the group will showcase traditional dances like the Lapay Bantigue, a seagull-inspired folk dance from Masbate.

The festival, now in its 24th year, gathers youth dance groups worldwide to celebrate cultural heritage through performances, workshops, and games. School officials and community leaders accompanied the students, emphasizing the importance of cultural exchange and the educational growth this opportunity offers. The Philippine team is set to perform from July 29 to August 18, eager to share their stories and traditions on the global stage.

Let's Go💪💪💪

𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 | Biliran Province State University (BiPSU) Panamao Dance Company- Hiphop group (M6) will be holding audition for aspiring dancers on July 23, 6:00 PM, at the university student center.

Participants are required to wear proper dance attire and prepare a one-minute hiphop dance piece. TikTok dances are strictly prohibited in the screening.

Successful applicants will have the opportunity to represent BiPSU in regional, national, and international dance competitions and will have a chance to be trained by Mr. Christian Matugas, a decorated dancer and experienced trainer who has graced national and international stages.

Meanwhile, active and dedicated members may also qualify for a scholarship grant.
