Synopsis:

Dolly, a 23-year-old woman, went home feeling heartbroken, anxious, and overwhelmed after finding out she has a reactive HIV status. With Dolly’s storm of emotions, Hyper V, Bicolandia’s 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴-𝘨𝘰𝘥𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘢 𝘴𝘩𝘦-𝘳𝘰, was able to trace her. Their unexpected encounter has allowed Dolly to begin her healing journey with her newfound family and discover the hero within herself.

About the production:

Planet V is produced by Red Print Production, an independent, student-led theater production team formed by Jam Rivera and Nyx Grutas, for their undergraduate thesis in Bachelor of Arts in Communication at Ateneo de Naga University. Their study, titled “Communicating Improved HIV Awareness among the Youth in Camarines Sur through a Research-Informed Theater Production,” seeks to address and combat the stigma surrounding HIV.

At its core, the stage play serves as a platform for advocacy, promoting greater awareness, encouraging informed conversations, and calling for stronger support systems for HIV education and treatment across the province.

We are fourth-year AB Communication students using theater to promote HIV & AIDS awareness among the Bikolano youth. Your contribution will help fund essential production needs, including food, set, props, and logistics, bringing this advocacy to life.
