Celebrated the first Sunday of August with Mass Services 🫶 thank you so much, Lord, for giving us talents to praise and glorify You. You are the best! 🥰 Also, we wanted to flex our 🟡 YELLOW 🟡 outfits to let everyone know that the Peñafrancia Fiesta is already waving and we are beyond excited to celebrate the festivities of Divino Rostro and Ina!! 🥹✨

Aside from this, we greet our priests a HAPPY PRIESTS' DAY! We thank you for your faithful service, loving care, and dedication to guiding us closer to God and to Ina. May you all be blessed with wisdom, good health, and abundant blessings. Thank you so much, Fathers! 🤍

Today’s Gospel reminds us that to follow Christ, we have to let go of our earthly possessions. Yet more deeply, Christ is the one who finds us and gives us everything, even His life on the Cross. In this Eucharist, we thank Jesus for His great love for us and we renew our commitment to follow Him wholeheartedly.

Also, we celebrate today the World Day of Grandparents and the Elderly. We pray for our lolos and lolas that they may be granted with good health, long life, and peace of mind. May the Lord bring them abundant blessings and wisdom to continue to guide us.

“YOU ARE NOT ALONE. GOD IS WITH YOU.”

Today, 16th Sunday in Ordinary Time, the priests of both the 4PM & 7PM Masses read the Pastoral Letter of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) instead of simply giving the usual Homily during Sunday Masses.

This Pastoral Letter highlighted the need to understand the rising concerns on mental health issues. As time goes by, the number of people who commit su***de and do crimes due to depression and other mental conditions continue to increase day by day. And we, as Catholics, are being called to express compassion and understanding towards them.

People who have mental health conditions are not “burdens.” They are not “people who lack faith.” They suffer from certain mental illness that need guidance, mercy, and understanding. As human beings, we are tasked to always welcome them no matter what happens. We are tasked to let them feel that they are not alone in this battle; that they have their families and friends who stay and pray with them always; that they have God who loves them unconditionally.

May this Sunday bring comfort and safe haven to all those people who suffer from mental health conditions. May they always feel God’s presence and allow Him to touch their lives even in the simplest way. May Mama Mary, Our Lady of Peñafrancia, embrace them under Her Manto of Love. May we always include them in our prayers as they face this kind of journey.

Mary, help of Christians, pray for us. Divino Rostro, have mercy on us.

Today’s Gospel talks about Jesus’ Parable of the Sower. It emphasizes that only those who trust, understand, and love God’s Word with all their heart, soul, and strength become rich soil where His words can grow. For God’s Word to yield in our lives, we must prepare the soil by receiving the Word with our hearts and minds and by heeding its call to action.

May Jesus, in this Eucharist, enrich our hearts so that like the rich soil, we may bear a bountiful harvest of mercy and compassion. May we all ask the Lord for the courage to think, decide, and act according to the Gospel.

A week late but last Sunday’s Gospel reminded us to always trust God no matter what happens. With His love and guidance, nothing is impossible. He is always ready to protect us. Sometimes, God has the most unpredictable way of answering our prayers, but we should never doubt Him because He has a plan for us. We just need to trust Him.

KUYA JAN’S 2ND DEATH ANNIVERSARY 🕊️
July 5, 2026

Kuya Jan is a former President of Laudate Dominum Chorale. Two years ago, he had joined the Creator. Most of his families, relatives, friends, and acquaintances were in complete shock after hearing this news two years ago. Many hearts were shattered. Many questions were left unanswered. But one thing’s for sure - it was part of God’s plan.

Sometimes, God’s plans happen in the most unpredictable way. Sometimes, it is too difficult to comprehend. Sometimes, it is too confusing. Sometimes, we even question Him. Kuya Jan’s sudden demise is one example of the most unpredictable plans of God and it hurts too much. But instead of getting mad at God, we trusted everything to Him. We let Him comfort us.

Maybe, that time, God needed an angel, that is why He asked Kuya Jan to join Him. Well, definitely, Kuya Jan is qualified to be an angel because he has the purest and the most beautiful heart. It was just a little bit sad because he left us too early but it was alright because God had gained another angel in Heaven.

Kuya Jan, many things have changed since you have left us but our love for you still remains the same. We miss you so bad, Kuya Jan! We pray that you are in a happy place now. Please sing your heart out up there, okay? We love you so much! 🥺

Eternal rest grant unto Kuya Jan, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen. 🤍

RAINY SEASON? ☔️🌧 Don't worry! We gotchu! We're gonna sprinkle some SPLASH OF JOY 💦💖 into your facebook feeds to bring the never-ending SUMMER VIBES! ⛱️☀️

Last May 1, the Laudate Dominum Chorale had its Summer Team Building & Outing Activity at Altapuera Beach Spring Resorts, Pacol, Naga City. It was a day filled with joy, fun games, videoke moments, and pool bondings.

As a church choir who got soooo busy during the Lenten Season and the Holy Week celebrations, this outing was a must-have to unwind and to release all the stress and exhaustion from practices and several singing engagements. Also, it was an essential activity to strengthen the bond and camaraderie of the group. We reminded each one of us that we are not only singers. We are also a family bonded to sing for God and Ina! 💛

Lots of fun, LDC! Let’s do this again soon! 😎☀️

Today, June 28, is the 13th Sunday in Ordinary Time. However, in commemoration of the contributions of Saints Peter and Paul to the foundation of the early Church, all Masses celebrated after 3PM on Sunday will be the Vigil Mass of the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, Apostles. Hence, the group decided to wear RED, instead of green, to remember the mission and the unwavering commitment of these two faithful apostles in proclaiming the Gospel to other people. ❤️‍🔥

St. Peter, a humble fisherman, chosen by Christ, was entrusted with the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven and became the first Pope. On the other hand, St. Paul, who was once a persecutor of Christians, experienced powerful conversion and tirelessly preaching the Good News across nations.

May this special feast remind us that God can work through every person. Just like Sts. Peter and Paul, may we be reminded that our weaknesses can become strengths when we place our trust in God and that everybody can be transformed by God’s grace if we just let Him be. May the works of these two saints touch our hearts to remain steadfast in our faith, courageous in living the Gospel, and joyful in serving God each day.

Also, we welcome today our newest members, Ava, Danica, and Carol! Welcome to LDC, guys! Keep serving God and may Sts. Peter and Paul guide us always! 🤍
