Imagine how scared they must feel, waiting for their person to come back. They’re not just animals we keep at home... they’re part of our family.

During an emergency, your pets are dependent on you for their safety and well-being. Do not cage them or leash them. Include them instead in your evacuation.

They’ve been there for us on our happiest days and our loneliest nights. So when the surrounding feels uncertain, let’s be there for them, too. 🐾

A LITTLE KINDNESS GOES A LONG WAY. 🙏🏻

As we brace for the arrival of Super Typhoon Uwan, let’s not forget those who have no one to turn to: the stray animals out on the streets with nowhere to seek safe shelter or call home. For them, every storm is a fight for survival, but your kindness can be their lifeline.

If you see a homeless animal struggling through the storm, please show a little kindness. Offer a dry, safe space for temporary shelter, some clean food and fresh water, or help them get medical care if they’re injured or weak. (Please always ensure your own safety by keeping your anti-rabies and other necessary vaccinations up to date when helping stray animals.)

Most importantly, let’s keep working together to advocate for spay and neuter as it’s the way we can break the cycle of suffering and prevent any more animals from having to endure a difficult life on the streets, especially during typhoons and calamities.

Every act of compassion makes a difference. If each of us helps even just one, together we can save millions of lives and create a kinder, safer world for them all. 🐾

PLEASE DON’T LEAVE THEM BEHIND. 🙏🏻

As the country braces for Super Typhoon Uwan, coming so soon just after Typhoon Tino’s devastation, let’s remember that our pets depend entirely on us for their safety, security, and survival, especially in trying times.

Pets are family and deserve to be protected. Here are some vital ways you can help your pets during emergencies:

❗️ 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗡 𝗔𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗗. Prepare an evacuation plan and a pet go-bag with food, water, leashes, carriers, and essential supplies. Know where your nearest pet-friendly evacuation center is and how you can quickly transport them if the need arises.

❗️ 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗞 𝗙𝗔𝗦𝗧, 𝗕𝗘 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗖𝗘𝗙𝗨𝗟. In urgent situations, creativity can save their lives. You can use everyday items like laundry baskets, basins, or sturdy boxes as makeshift carriers to bring your pets to safety.

‼️ 𝗡𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗠 𝗕𝗘𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗗. If evacuation becomes necessary, always bring your pets with you. And if you absolutely just cannot for whatever compelling reason, please UNCHAIN OR UNCAGE them to give them a fighting chance to survive.

Through every calamity, compassion is our strongest shelter. Let’s stay vigilant, stay safe, and stand by our animals, because their lives matter too. 💚

❗TRIGGER WARNING: DOG DROWNED IN FLOOD

PLEASE UNCHAIN AND UNCAGE YOUR PETS. PLEASE DON’T LEAVE THEM BEHIND. 😔

This heartbreaking photo of a dog who drowned during Typhoon Tino after being left chained was sent to us from a Facebook comment. It’s a heavy image of helplessness and loss of a tragedy that should never have happened, and yet happens far too often in our country, especially during calamities.

No animal deserves to be left behind, struggling for their life with no way to escape. They don’t deserve to perish in times of crisis without even a fighting chance to get themselves to safety.

Please unchain, uncage, and never leave your pets behind. Pets are family. They completely trust and rely on you to keep them safe, especially in difficult times. If you must evacuate, please take them with you. And if, for some truly unavoidable reason, you cannot, then at the very least, please free them. Give them a chance to survive.

Let this also be a wake-up call that a life spent perpetually chained or caged is not a life at all. Pets don’t deserve to live restrained 24/7 or be seen as mere “bantays.” To care for an animal means giving them love, safety, and dignity, and not just in times of crisis, but every single day of their lives. Let’s be responsible and give our pets a life worth living.

Please unchain and uncage your pets.
Please don't leave them behind.

Rest in peace, dear pup. No more chains, no more fear. May you find freedom and comfort at last across the rainbow bridge.

Last weekend we finally got our Champs - Pakanton Girls, Muntinlupa City Representatives. Check out the whole interview check it here: https://bit.ly/36yRuQr

We had the privilege to do a post interview with their Team Captain - Kianna Dominique Alvarez aka Kianna Ribs. And here’s a short summary of the full story.

They’ve been so consistent with their performance in gameplay and strategy as they move up from qualifiers to the finals.

Their biggest rival, CEBU LYNX of Cebu City was almost at par with these ladies but they’ve risen up to be the Champs of this tournament. According to Kianna Ribs, one of the challenges her team was facing is that they are limited to a few hero pool, and the banning and picking phase of the tournament is really a nightmare.

I’ve asked Kianna what seems to be the team’s preparation during the 515 Rivals tournament and she mentioned that aside from continously practicing, they've studied their competitors by observing their hero pickings so they can ban them during the ban and pick phase.

Team Pakanton Girls would like to thank their supporters who have been with them since day 1 and hoping that they would still support them in their next tournaments
