://refresh-record is a visual archive of my journey as an artist in the Philippines, capturing fleeting frames of mind and the layered memories that have shaped me. Using various mediums on paper, these accumulated layers combine to reflect our shared human experience: the moments we pause, breathe, and dare to hope despite our ongoing struggles. Each piece serves as an emotional and spiritual mental note, defined by the stark visual contrast between the vast, open sky and the heavy, dark ground. This tension mirrors our turbulent external realities—such as political unrest and natural disasters—yet, by drawing the gaze upward, the work embodies a relentless faith that everything will eventually fall into its proper place. Ultimately, it stands as a grand exposition of life’s bittersweet contrasts

Come experience their works as part of the exhibition and discover the stories carried within each piece until August 31, 2026. 🛋️

The land has shaped us to who we are today. It is the cradle of our civilization and identity as a people. It has nurtured us with food, shelter, and rich culture for hundreds of years, and has been so to this day. “The Land That Shaped Us” is a visual collage of different land formations found in the Philippines. I painted it in such a way that the different shapes and colors are highlighted as a reflection of the different cultures we have. This piece is a visual reminder of where we came from, and how rich we are with the land that we are blessed with and the cultures that sprung from it.
