Drops of Color, points to the elemental unit from which these paintings arise. Each droplet carries its own weight, its own presence. Gathered together, they form environments of remarkable stillness and resonance. Javier transforms the act of painting into a process of release, allowing color to absorb emotional turbulence and return it as balance.

The canvases evoke landscapes that seem suspended between observation and recollection. Oceans shimmer beneath shifting light. Mountainous terrains dissolve into cascades of gold. Fields of color expand outward until they resemble celestial phenomena. The recurring presence of gold leaf introduces another register of meaning. Rather than serving merely as ornament, it operates as a material embodiment of illumination, suggesting moments of grace that surface amid uncertainty.

Joan Palero is a self-taught emerging visual artist based in Morong, Rizal. Known for creating abstract pieces characterized by vivid color palettes, dynamic brushstrokes and intricate textures, she draws inspiration from nature, human emotions and the interplay of light and shadow. She has participated in local art festivals and exhibits and gallery group shows.

We’re honored to host Binong Javier’s solo exhibit: “Drops of Color” this May 29 - June 13 at Galleria Nicolas Greenbelt 5 🎨

There will be an Artist Reception on June 5, 2026, Friday at 5:00pm.

Eduardo “Binong” Javier (b. 1973) is a Filipino visual artist born and raised in Caloocan City. A graduate of the Technological University of the Philippines with a Bachelor of Fine Arts major in Advertising, Javier’s creative foundation was shaped by early interests in music, photography, and computer graphics, alongside years of experience in graphic design abroad. Though his path as an artist evolved through unexpected turns, his return to painting became a rediscovery of purpose—one rooted in a deep and enduring passion for visual expression.

Over the years, Javier has established a strong presence in the Philippine contemporary art scene through numerous solo and group exhibitions, as well as recognition in major art competitions, including the Philippine Art Awards, the GSIS National Art Competition, and the Shell National Student Art Competition. His works have been exhibited at leading galleries and institutions while also gaining international exposure through exhibitions in Spain, Austria, Japan, Indonesia and Dubai
