π¨β¨ BAYONG BAG DESIGN CONTEST 2026 β¨π¨
In celebration of National Arts Month 2026, the Municipal Tourism, Culture, and Arts Office invites all bona fide students of Milagros to join our Bayong Painting Design Contest!
Unleash your artistry and transform the traditional Filipino bayong into a vibrant canvas that reflects our local heritage, tourism pride, and environmental advocacy. πΏπ
Showcase designs inspired by Milagrosβ heritage, natural beauty, festivals, farms, seas, and community identityβwhile promoting eco-friendly living through reusable materials.
Mechanics:
1. The contest is open to student residents of the municipality.
2. Participants must register before the event.
3. Each participant will be provided with one (1) official bayong bag.
4. Participants must create an original design inspired by:
β’ Local culture and traditions
β’ Festival themes
β’ Marine/coastal identity
β’ Environmental advocacy
5. Painting materials (latex paints and brushes) will be provided by the contestant.
6. Time limit: 3 hours.
7. Only on-site painting is allowed. Pre-painted or pre-designed bags are strictly prohibited.
8. All finished artworks shall become property of the LGU for exhibition and promotional purposes (with proper credit to the artist).
