The excitement of holding a hammer.
The pride of solving a problem.
The smile when they realize, "I made this."

At our Toy-Making Carpentry Experience, children ages 2–10 get to build and take home a handmade wooden toy while learning real-world skills.

Because confidence isn't something we can give our children.

It's something they build.

Parents often think the output is the goal.

But at TATY, the output is just proof.

What your child really gains is:

✔ patience under pressure
✔ problem-solving without shortcuts
✔ confidence in trial and error
✔ independence in making decisions

And those don’t stay in the workshop.
They show up in school. In home. In life.

Book your slot now and get 10% OFF.
Valid until June 15 only.
Use code: EARLYMAKER (on the website)

Seats are limited per batch so each child gets proper hands-on guidance—not rushed output.

We often think creativity is drawing, painting, or designing on a screen.

But real creativity is messier.

It’s:
🪵 choosing materials
🧠 solving structural problems
🔨 adjusting when things don’t fit
💡 rebuilding until it works

At TATY, creativity isn’t performance.

It’s process.

And kids remember the process more than the result.

Let your child experience creativity that builds more than just projects. Check available TATY classes and enroll now.

If it looks like they’re just working with wood, tools, and hands-on materials—there’s actually much more happening.

They’re learning how to focus.
How to follow through.
How to solve problems step by step.

These are skills that go far beyond the workshop.

A lot of learning is happening here.

One week ago, we had our very first Creative Build for Adults.

In partnership with SoFA Design Institute, a group of curious makers stepped into the workshop—not to chase productivity, deadlines, or perfection—but simply to create.

Using reclaimed wood, leftover materials, discarded pieces, and offcuts from previous projects, participants transformed what many would consider waste into something meaningful: their own handcrafted Scrap Clocks.

But beyond the clocks, something else was built that day.

For many, it was a cultural shift. A chance to slow down, work with their hands, embrace imperfection, and rediscover the joy of making for the sake of being alive. In a world that constantly asks, "What's the outcome?" this workshop offered a different question:

"What happens when we simply allow ourselves to create?"

Thank you to everyone who joined us in giving discarded materials a second life—and perhaps giving ourselves permission to do the same.

Woodworking gives children something rare today: proof that effort matters.

A piece of wood doesn’t become a project by accident. It takes patience, mistakes, problem-solving, persistence, and courage to keep building even when things don’t go perfectly.

And then comes the beautiful part:
the moment they step back, look at what they made with their own hands, and realize—

“I did this.”

That visible transformation is more than woodworking.
It’s confidence becoming real.
It’s growth becoming tangible.
It’s effort turning into something they can hold.

🔨 Our Furniture Lab is happening this June 2–3, and we’ve opened additional slots so more young builders can join the experience.

While the country feels heavy and the noise of Philippine politics keeps getting louder, I found myself spending time with little tinkerers.

And somehow, in the middle of curious questions, and imperfect creations, I was reminded that there is still good work worth doing.

Guiding children to build, explore, and believe in what they can make feels meaningful. It feels hopeful.

The world outside may feel frustrating, but inside this space, I get to witness creativity, courage, and joy.

And honestly, that kind of fulfillment keeps me going. ✨
