We are truly grateful to be part of the LIPAD Batch 4 Program under the DOST-PCAARRD Startup Grant Fund through the Technology Transfer and Promotion Division (TTPD), in collaboration with the University of the Philippines Institute for Small-Scale Industries (UP ISSI).

For Kape Lumad, this is more than just a milestone. It is an opportunity for us to grow, to improve our operations, and to support more of our partner farmers.

We also understand that this grant comes with great responsibility. And we are committed to making sure it is used with care, purpose, and integrity.

Through this support, we will be able to invest in machines that will help us improve our productivity and elevate the quality of our coffee so we can bring Bukidnon coffee beans to more markets.

We would also like to sincerely thank the Central Mindanao University Agri-Aqua Technology Business Incubator (CMU-ATBI) for their continuous guidance and support to our startup journey.

Maraming salamat po to DOST-PCAARRD for trusting us. We carry this with humility and a strong sense of responsibility.

Support our journey and help us bring more impact to our farmers. Follow Kape Lumad.

Kape Lumad is honored to be part of the Technical Working Group (TWG) under the Department of Agriculture for the revision of the Philippine National Standards (PNS) on Coffee โ€“ Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ

This is a meaningful step for us as we bring the voice of Indigenous coffee farmers from Bukidnon into national discussions on quality, traceability, and sustainable practices.

From the mountains to policy tablesโ€”this is how we make sure farmers are not left behind.

Together, we build standards that are not only compliant, but practical, inclusive, and grounded in reality.

Support our mission by choosing coffee that empowers communities. Follow Kape Lumad and be part of the journey.

Weโ€™re honored to share that Kape Lumad has been recognized as a CPUGAD Awardee at the AGRI-TECH GRAND PRIX 2026 Philippines.

This recognition means a lot to us as it affirms the work we continue to do in empowering our coffee farming communities and building solutions that are grounded in real, on-the-ground realities.

Being part of this milestone event at Quezon City University, under the TECH PLANTER program, reminded us that innovation is not just about technology โ€” itโ€™s about people, purpose, and impact.

Congratulations as well to PakUAn, Grand Winner, for turning watermelon waste into a meaningful solution, and to CropConnect for advancing agri data systems. Itโ€™s inspiring to stand alongside fellow innovators working toward a better agricultural future.

Thank you to the organizers from Leave a Nest Group Japan, judges, and everyone who made this gathering possible.

Padayon โ€” for innovation that serves our farmers and communities.

75 days after the solar module installation in our community of 16 households.

Today, we see more than just light โ€” we see change.

Watch as Hanna shares her story โ€” what life was like before, and how things have slowly changed after receiving solar modules through the support of FIBECO and the National Electrification Administration.

Before, something as simple as charging a cellphone meant walking miles back and forth just to find a place with electricity. Time, effort, and energy spent on something many of us take for granted.

Now, there is light at home.
There is connection.
There is ease, even in the smallest things.

Children can study a little longer.
Families can gather without darkness.
Communication is no longer a struggle.

And more than that there is something new growing: hope.
Hope that things can get better.
Hope that this is only the beginning.

From simple joys come bigger dreams โ€” dreams of improving their homes, their livelihoods, and their future.

This is what we at Kape Lumad are about.
Not just coffee, but community.
Not just products, but people.
Not just business, but purpose.

Empowering communities that have long been marginalized โ€” one step, one light, one story at a time.

Padayon.

Today is Appreciation Day.

We take this moment to pause and give thanks to everyone who has stood with us on this journey. From our community enablers, academe, government agencies, and private foundations, your support has helped shape what Kape Lumad is today.

What started as a small dream rooted in our community has grown because many people believed in it, nurtured it, and walked alongside us.

We are what we are now because of all of you.

From the farmers, families, and the entire Kape Lumad community โ€” thank you for your unwavering and endless support. Your trust and partnership continue to inspire us to keep going, keep growing, and keep serving.

Daghang salamat kaayo. ๐Ÿ’š
Padayon, Kape Lumad.

Kape Lumad is a Finalist!

We are proud to share that Kape Lumad has been selected as one of the finalists for the AGRI-TECH GRAND PRIX 2026 Philippines under the Integrated Smart Innovations category.

This program by Leave a Nest Philippines brings together deep-tech innovators, researchers, and startups working to solve critical challenges in agriculture. On March 11, 2026, we will present our technology designed to help coffee farmers improve bean quality and strengthen their market value.

For a small startup working closely with indigenous coffee communities, this recognition means a lot. It validates the mission that technology can empower farmers and improve coffee quality from the ground up.

Weโ€™re excited to represent Mindanao innovation and farmer-centered technology on this stage.

Letโ€™s advance agricultural innovation together. ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿš€

Learning together, growing together.

Our community (KLIFPA) recently participated in a training session facilitated by our OJTs from the Central Mindanao University โ€“ College of Agribusiness Management, titled โ€œStrategic Budget Allocation: Understanding Household Needs and Wants.โ€

It may sound simple, but sessions like this truly matter. For smallholder farming families, understanding how to prioritize needs, manage limited income, and plan wisely can make a real difference at home.

Weโ€™re grateful to these young future agribusiness leaders for sharing their knowledge and time with the community. Itโ€™s inspiring to see classroom learning being applied where it truly counts.

Small lessons. Real impact.
Padayon ta.
