Organic farming is a method of growing crops and raising animals that avoids using synthetic chemicals like artificial fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, growth hormones, or genetically modified organisms (GMOs).

Instead, it relies on natural processes and materials to keep the soil healthy, control pests, and produce food. Here are its main features:

Natural Fertilizers – Uses compost, animal manure, green manure, and crop residues to enrich the soil.

No Harmful Chemicals – Avoids synthetic pesticides and herbicides; uses natural pest control methods instead.

Crop Rotation – Alternates crops in a field to prevent pests and maintain soil fertility.

Soil Health Focus – Protects soil structure and nutrients to keep it productive over the long term.

Animal Welfare – For livestock, it means giving them natural feed, outdoor access, and no growth hormones or routine antibiotics.

Environmental Care – Reduces pollution, conserves water, and supports biodiversity.

In short, organic farming works with nature instead of trying to control it with chemicals, aiming for healthy food, healthy soil, and a healthy environment.
