Another Sunday spent filling pages, making art, and sharing a table with fellow journalers. 📖🎨☕️

Last October 4, we held our journaling meet-up at Vonmark Makeshift Coffee and Restaurant , located at the Alumni Building of Baguio City High School.

This meet-up was extra special because, for the first time, we added a mini watercolor workshop to our activities! A little paint, a little journaling, and plenty of room to create at your own pace.

Thank you to our constants who keep coming back, and to the newbies who joined our table for the first time. We’re always happy to see this little community grow. ❤️

And thank you, Makeshift Coffee, for welcoming Journal Social Baguio and giving us a space to gather, create, and connect.

It felt a little whimsical a little unexpected and somehow, very much like journaling itself. 🌿

Because sometimes, you don’t need to go far to feel like you’ve stepped away for a while. You just need a cosy corner, a cup of something warm, and a little time with yourself.

September reminds us that a year can change seasons, and so can we. 🍂

Maybe some goals changed. Some plans had to wait. Some routines slipped, and our priorities shifted along the way.

The good thing is, we don’t have to wait for January to begin again.

Reset where you need to. Return to what has been good for you. Release what no longer deserves your energy, and refocus on what matters in this season of your life.

There are still months left to live, create, learn, rest, and grow. No need to rush or make up for lost time. Just begin again where you can. 🤎

Have you ever tried journaling at home, opened a blank page… and suddenly didn’t know what to write or create? 📓✂️

Maybe you’ve saved journaling inspiration online, bought a notebook and some stickers, or simply thought, “I want to try that, but where do I even start?”

This is the space and community for you. 🤎

Join us for a 4-hour guided Journaling Workshop where we’ll explore different ways to document your life and express yourself through creative journaling, bullet journaling, junk journaling, reflective journaling, and free art sessions.

No need to be “artsy.” No need to have beautiful handwriting. And you definitely don’t need prior journaling experience. We’ll guide you, give you materials to explore, and most importantly, give you the time and space to actually sit down and create.

📌Journal Social Baguio is a collective of workshop facilitators and creatives who came together to start hosting journaling workshops and meet-ups in Baguio in 2025. Individually, our co-creators have been facilitating their own creative workshops since 2024, each bringing different styles, materials, and approaches to the table.

For this workshop, you’ll get a 4-hour guided session, 3 artist-made take-home kits, access to our Sticker & Journal Buffet, plus ₱300 worth of café consumables. ☕🎨

A weekend afternoon spent journaling together. 📓☕🌿
For our latest Journal Social Baguio meet-up, we gathered at Read & Brew at Panahanan Hotel, where their beautiful, airy gazebo gave us a fresh new space to slow down, work on our pages, share stories, and enjoy good coffee and food together.

We held a mini exhibit of Artist Trading Cards, little pieces of art carrying messages from our journalers, made to be shared and exchanged within the community.

We also turned the art of one of our journalers, Noemi, into one of our Journal Buffet stickers! 🥹 Seeing a journaler’s artwork become something that other people could pick up, stick onto their pages, and take home with them made this extra special.

❤️ We hope to feature more art from our journalers as stickers in our future meet-ups, because Journal Social Baguio has always been about creating with the community, not only for it.

Thank you to the Panahanan Hotel and Read & Brew team for welcoming us into your space, and thank you to every journaler who spent the afternoon with us.

You welcomed the weekend with intention, creativity, joy, and grace, one journal page, conversation, cup of coffee, and little piece of art at a time. 🌿📖

Here’s how to commute to Panahanan Hotel:

If you’re taking a jeepney, ride a Camp 7 jeep. The terminal is near Bookends, across the Jollibee Harrison branch that is currently under renovation.

Ask the driver to drop you off at the Amistad Road waiting shed. From there, look to your right and you’ll see Panahanan Hotel, where Read & Brew Café is also located.

If you’re taking a taxi, simply tell the driver: “Camp 7, Amistad Road waiting shed, Panahanan Hotel."

As our community grows, our mission grows deeper too. 🤍
Through Journal Social Baguio, we want to create a safe space where you can simply learn how to start journaling. No pressure. No need to be artistic. No need for expensive materials or picture-perfect pages.

Because journaling can be as simple as putting your thoughts on paper. It can help you reflect, process, remember, reconnect, and make space for yourself amid everything else going on in life.
We’re so grateful for the beautiful ladies who showed up for our workshop, and we’re especially touched that one of them even chose to celebrate her birthday with us! 🥹🎂 This space is for you and your growth, and in many ways, it helps us grow too.

At the end of our session, three words beautifully summed up their experience: refreshment, rejuvenation, and courage. ✨ And that reminds us why we continue creating spaces like this.
