ANGEL C. Cacnio, the artist who designed and executed the P20 and P100 legal tenders showing Presidents Manuel Quezon and Manuel Roxas on a commission by the then Central Bank of the Philippines in the 1980s, is the subject of a mini retrospective of his six-decade-old art career at the gallery of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA).

Nell Campos Works..

was born in 1963 in Tondo, Manila. He attended the Perpetual Help College, taking up BS Engineering in 1989. His father, an engineer, was good at drawing. Campos apprenticed under William Yu, Roger Gutierrez and Isabelo Quiles in 1984 when they were neighbors in Talon, Las Pinas.

He was a member of Grupo Otso, which was made up of Nick Aranda, Jun Cantril, Boy Gutierrez, Belo Quiles, and Paul Alunan. The group exhibited once, in 1982. Campos was also active with the Las Pinas Artists Society, which exhibited twice, in 1989 and 1990. He participated in Spetrum and Aliktiktik exhibits, 1988-89.

His works were included in the 1999 Ginebra San Miguel Calendar and he was a finalist in in the Las Pinas Bamboo Organ Annual in 1985..

Memije was born in Santa Cruz , Manila on November 26, 1950. Initially an architecture major at the Feati University, then shifted to Fine Arts and graduated in 1974. Major group shows abroad was mounted at Chicago’s Samuel Stein Gallery sponsored by the Philippine Consul General in 1984.
