The Sandiwang Kayumanggi Alumni Folk Dance Troupe is a group composed of alumni members of the Sandiwang Kayumanggi Folk Dance Troupe, a dance troupe founded in 1974 by Director and choreographer Mr. Committed in the promotion and preservation of Philippine cultural heritage through music, songs and dances, the company has performed in both internati

onal and local scenes. The Sandiwang Kayumanggi Alumni Folk Dance Troupe together with the current members of the Sandiwang Kayumanggi Folk Dance Troupe has regularly been active in various events organized by the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) where the group has participated in the staging of “Pang–alay” from 1988 to1997 and later received the 1997 Venue Grant Award as well as the “Best in Production” Award in 1999 given by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA). The company also took part and won the Best Costume Award in Nayong Pilipino, the Timpalak Indakan of the Nayong Pilipino in 2002 and Concert at the Park in 2004. The group also performed several times in television shows sponsored by NCCA’s Sining Gising Ugnayan sa Tinig ng Bayan and during the 31st UNESCO-ITI Intercultural World Congress and the Stand Up against Poverty Program at Malacanang Palace, October 2010. was invited and performed in several International Dance Festivals such as the Songpa-gu Dance Festival in Seoul, Korea in 1995, the Asian Folk Dance Festival, a cultural Show in Busan, South Korea sponsored by the Manila Tourism Authority in May 1997 and the First-ever PISTANG PINOY in Shizuoka, Japan in December 2014. The company’s latest local performances were “Handog Indayog 2011“, a tribute to its Founding Director, Mr. McGreggor and “3 DEKADA: Indayog 2012” both held at the PHILAM LIFE Auditorium, UN Avenue, Manila and the recently concluded Sandiwa @ 40 held at the Adamson University Theater last November 2015.
