Red Turnip joins in mourning the passing of Ms. Cris Albert, CEO and Owner of FILA Philippines. Cris Albert wasn’t just a trailblazing businesswoman but was also a patron of the arts and one of Red Turnip’s staunchest supporters. You would find her in the front row, opening night of EVERY single production we’ve had since 2013. Cris was our fearless cheerleader.

Thank you, Cris, for your support all these years. We wouldn’t have gotten to where we are without you. We promise to dedicate every Red Turnip opening night in your memory, although it will never be the same without your lovely presence, your smile and generous spirit.

Our thoughts go out to the Abad Santos and Albert family.

Red Turnip Theater mourns the passing of Repertory Philippines’ founder, Carmen “Tita Baby” Barredo. An icon of the Philippine theatre, we each have had the honor of being mentored by her. We’ve been directed by her, we’ve shared the stage with her and the five of us have our own personal connections with her. Without her contributions, Red Turnip wouldn’t be the company it is today.

We join our extended Rep family in honoring her legacy. May she Rest In Peace.

After 51 days and more than 200 performers sharing their time and talent in coming up with fundraiser shows for the displaced members of the Live Events Performance Industry, Open House ends Act 1.

Open House has reached more than its goal of raising Php 1M. We’re nearing Php 1.3M and will be helping 650 people during the ECQ.

It will one big massive thank you party to everyone for helping especially our donors and audience with (hopefully) all contributors on/off cam making an appearance. TURNIP Topper Fabregas will excite.

Act 2 is in the horizon.
