ON THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT EACH ONE OF US SHALL BE ASKED ABOUT THE FAVOURS WE HAVE:
Allah says, "Then on that Day you shall be asked about the pleasures (which you indulged in, in this world)!" [102:8].
How do you make use of your health, energy and free time? To please Allah or anger Him?
The prophet (swal'Allahu alaihi wa salam) said, "Two favours are treated unjustly by most people: health and free time." [Bukhari].
On that Day we all will be questioned concerning our gratitude towards the favours that Allah blessed us with, such as health, safety, provision, among others.
We will be asked if we returned His favours by being thankful to Him and worshipping Him.
When the above Verse (102:8) was revealed, Zubair asked: 'What pleasures shall we be asked about? It is only the two black ones, dates and water.' The Prophet (swal'Allahu alaihi wa salam) said, "It will happen."" [Ibn Majah, Grade: Hasan].
Abu Hurairah (radhi'Allahu anhu) narrated that the Prophet (swal'Allahu alaihi wa salam) said, "Allah the Almighty has said on the Day of Judgement: "O Son of Adam! I made you ride upon the horses and camels (and other forms of conveyances), I gave you women to marry, and I made you reside and rule. So where is the thanks for that?"" [Ahmad].
YAA ALLAH! GRANT US GOODNESS IN THIS WORLD AND GOODNESS IN THE HEREAFTER, AND SAVE US FROM HELL. Wabillahi taufiq.
