It’s been a week since , and I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who showed up! ❤️
I didn’t openly share about this, but in 2023, I decided to take an intentional, indefinite break from the shop to focus on my healing journey.
This is my first Plannercon & my first art event in almost three years, and it felt like I have been away from this community for a long time. I was scared that people might forget about Deco Art. The anxiety & fear was building up weeks prior the event. I did not promote as much as I could and focused my energy on Plannercon preps instead.
Pero grabe, the amount of support I got proved otherwise 🥺❤️ When the doors opened at 10am, kinabahan ako sa dagsa ng crowd. My table set up was not the best (I felt terrible) coz I had trouble with my display materials, even failed to put up our banner 😭 I decided to let go of what didn’t work out & focused on being present.
Nawala anxiety & fear ko because everyone was so kind at ang gaan ng energy throughout the event 🥺❤️ I was literally running on zero sleep, walang upuan from 9am-2pm, few sips of water lang, had lunch around 5pm na. But despite all that, everyone was so patient & understanding, especially during restock of stamp punchers & whenever sabay sabay ang payment.
It was joyful seeing everyone feeling so happy & giddy + getting your names so I can make your journaling receipts more personal❤️ I even met people with cute names like Star & Ginger! ✨ To my online customers - Ms. Tin, Ms. Ams, Ms. Larissa, Ms. Niña, Hya, Jecca, Dy, Deborah, and others, plus familiar faces - Ms. Avon, Ms. Marge, and MG, it was so nice to see you! 🥰
There was also a lola with her apo who dropped by my table & was eyeing on my stamps. Unfortunately, she forgot to bring her journal & walked away with panghihinayang.
Later in the evening, she came back with a journal, and was just happily stamping. I acknowledged lola for coming back🥹 She’s so gentle & has a sweet smile, which reminded me of my lola ❤️
Thank you so so much to this community for all the love and support. Thank you for making the whole experience feel so light & comforting despite the “chaos” ❤️
