𝐏𝐎𝐏𝐄’𝐒 𝐏𝐑𝐀𝐘𝐄𝐑 𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 | 𝐀𝐔𝐆𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔: 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐄𝐕𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐙𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐈𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐈𝐓𝐘

As we begin the month of August, we unite with the Holy Father in praying for evangelization in the city. In today’s rapidly growing urban communities, many people experience anonymity, loneliness, and a longing for authentic human connection. The Holy Father invites us to discover new and creative ways of proclaiming the Gospel, building communities where faith, hope, and charity may flourish.

May this monthly prayer intention inspire us to become joyful missionary disciples in our homes, schools, workplaces, and neighborhoods. Through simple acts of kindness, genuine encounters, and faithful witness to Christ, may we help build communities where every person is welcomed, valued, and drawn closer to the love of God.

“Let us pray that in large cities, often marked by anonymity and loneliness, we may find new ways to proclaim the Gospel, discovering creative paths to build community.”

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | 18th Sunday in Ordinary Time

On August 2, the faithful of St. Joseph Parish, Gagalangin gathered in prayer and thanksgiving to celebrate the 18th Sunday in Ordinary Time. Strengthened by the Holy Eucharist, the community came together to listen to God’s Word and to renew their trust in His loving providence.

In the Gospel (Matthew 14:13–21), Jesus feeds the multitude of people with just five loaves and two fish, revealing His boundless compassion and care for His people. Through this miracle, the Lord reminds us that no offering is too small when placed in His hands. He calls us to trust in His providence, to share generously with others, and to recognize Him as the true Bread who satisfies every hunger of the human heart.

May this celebration inspire us to place our confidence in the Lord, who never ceases to provide for His people. As we continue our journey through Ordinary Time, may we become instruments of His generosity, bringing hope, charity, and the love of Christ to those around us.

Sa paggunita ng Ika-18 Linggo sa Karaniwang Panahon at Linggo ni San Juan Maria Vianney noong ika-2 ng Agosto, 2026, buong galak na inawit ng Marian Choir ang Sinong Makapaghihiwalay sa Atin?, isang awiting nagbibigay-pag-asa at nagpapaalala ng walang hanggang pag-ibig ng Diyos sa Kanyang bayan.

Hango sa Ikalawang Pagbasa mula sa sulat ni Apostol San Pablo sa mga taga-Roma, ipinahahayag ng awitin ang kanyang matatag na pananalig na walang anumang pagsubok, pagdurusa, o kapangyarihan ang makapaghihiwalay sa atin sa pag-ibig ni Kristo. Nawa’y sa bawat himig at salita ng awiting ito ay lalo tayong tumibay sa pananampalataya at manatiling nagtitiwala sa Panginoon sa gitna ng anumang hamon sa buhay.

𝐊𝐀𝐘𝐎 𝐀𝐘 𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐈 𝐌𝐀𝐆𝐏𝐀𝐊𝐀𝐈𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐌𝐀𝐍!

Ngayong araw, ipinagdiriwang natin ang 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗴𝗼 𝗻𝗶 𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗝𝘂𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗩𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘆, isang natatanging araw ng panalangin at pasasalamat para sa ating mga pari na buong pusong naglilingkod sa Simbahan at tapat na umaakay sa sambayanan tungo kay Kristo.

Si San Juan Maria Vianney, na kilala bilang ang Kura ng Ars, ay namuhay nang may malalim na kababaang-loob, kabanalan, at ganap na pag-aalay ng sarili sa Diyos. Walang pagod niyang ipinangaral ang Ebanghelyo, ipinagdiwang ang Banal na Eukaristiya, at naglaan ng mahabang oras sa Sakramento ng Kumpisal, kaya’t naging buhay na larawan siya ng habag, awa, at pag-ibig ng Diyos sa Kanyang bayan.

Sa pagdiriwang na ito, ipanalangin natin sa natatanging paraan ang lahat ng mga pari, lalo na ang ating mga pastol sa Arkidiyosesis ng Maynila—Kanyang Kabunyian, Jose F. Cardinal Advincula, D.D., Rev. Fr. Douglas Badong, at Rev. Fr. Xavier Nokrek, CSC. Nawa’y patuloy silang pagkalooban ng Panginoon ng karunungan, kababaang-loob, lakas, at tapat na pagmamahal upang magampanan nila ang kanilang bokasyon bilang mga lingkod ni Kristo at mga pastol ng Kanyang kawan.

𝐒𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐒 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐒𝐍𝐀𝐏𝐒 | 𝐒𝐓. 𝐈𝐆𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐔𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐋𝐎𝐘𝐎𝐋𝐀

As we celebrate today the Memorial of St. Ignatius of Loyola, we honor the founder of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits), whose remarkable conversion from soldier to saint became a powerful witness to the transforming grace of God. Through his deep love for Christ and the Church, St. Ignatius devoted his life to forming faithful disciples, promoting Catholic education, and encouraging all people to seek and serve God in every aspect of life.

St. Ignatius is best known for the Spiritual Exercises, a timeless guide to prayer and discernment that continues to lead countless souls into a deeper relationship with God. His spirituality invites us to discern God’s will with generosity, to strive for the greater glory of God (Ad Maiorem Dei Gloriam), and to become contemplatives in action. May his example inspire us to place Christ at the center of our lives and courageously answer God’s call each day.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | 17th Sunday in Ordinary Time

On July 26, the faithful of St. Joseph Parish, Gagalangin gathered in prayer and thanksgiving to celebrate the 17th Sunday in Ordinary Time. United in the Holy Eucharist, the community reflected on God’s Word and renewed their commitment to seek His will in every aspect of life.

In the Gospel (Matthew 13:44–52), Jesus speaks of the Kingdom of Heaven through the parables of the hidden treasure, the pearl of great price, and the fishing net. These parables remind us that life with God is the greatest treasure we can ever possess. Christ invites us to place Him above all else, willingly offering our hearts and lives in response to the immeasurable gift of His Kingdom.

May this celebration inspire us to seek first the Kingdom of God and to treasure His presence above all worldly possessions. As we continue our journey through Ordinary Time, may our lives reflect the joy of those who have discovered the priceless gift of following Christ.

𝗜𝗖𝗬𝗠𝗜 | Marian Choir’s Rendition of “Salubong” and “Reyna ng Langit”

Relive these moments of prayer and music as the Marian Choir offered their heartfelt renditions of “Salubong” and “Reyna ng Langit,” composed by the Bukas Palad Music Ministry, during the Parish Rosary Cantada in honor of Inang Perpetuo Socorro.

Through these Marian hymns, the faithful were invited to deepen their devotion to the Blessed Mother and to entrust their prayers to her loving intercession. May every note and every prayer continue to lead us closer to Christ through Mary.

As we celebrate today the Feast of St. Mary Magdalene, we honor one of the most faithful disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ. She remained with Him during His Passion, stood at the foot of the Cross, and was among the first to witness the empty tomb. Because she was the first to encounter the Risen Christ and was entrusted with announcing His Resurrection to the Apostles, the Church fittingly honors her as the “Apostle to the Apostles.”

St. Mary Magdalene’s life is a powerful witness to the transforming power of God’s mercy and the joy of encountering the Risen Lord. Her unwavering love, steadfast faith, and courageous proclamation of the Resurrection continue to inspire Christians to become faithful disciples and joyful witnesses of the Gospel. May her example encourage us to seek Christ with all our hearts and boldly proclaim the Good News to the world.
