On September 3, 2026, the faithful gathered at the Archdiocesan Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation and Cincture – San Agustin Church, Intramuros, Manila, for the Opening Salvo and First Day of the Solemn Novena in honor of Nuestra Señora de la Consolación y Correa, Patroness of the Augustinian Order, Patroness of Intramuros, and Queen and Protectress of the Distinguished and Ever-Loyal City. With joy and filial devotion, the faithful welcomed the venerable image of Our Lady and witnessed its solemn enthronement, marking the beginning of the Novena and the sacred celebrations of Fiesta de Intramuros 2026.

The celebration began with the Coronilla and Novena Prayers at 5:15 PM, followed by the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass at 6:00 PM, presided over by His Excellency, Most Rev. Rolando Octavus J. Tria Tirona, O.C.D., D.D., Archbishop-Emeritus of the Archdiocese of Caceres. As the faithful of the Walled City and pilgrims from beyond its walls gather in prayer, thanksgiving, and hope, may this Novena deepen our love and devotion to Our Lady of Consolation and Cincture and lead us ever closer to her Son, Jesus Christ.

𝐌𝐄𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐀𝐋 𝐎𝐅 𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐋𝐀𝐃𝐘, 𝐐𝐔𝐄𝐄𝐍 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐌𝐎𝐒𝐓 𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐘 𝐑𝐎𝐒𝐀𝐑𝐘

Today, we honor the Blessed Virgin Mary as Our Lady, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, remembering her maternal presence and her role in leading us closer to her Son, Jesus Christ. This memorial is closely associated with the victory at the Battle of Lepanto in 1571, when Pope St. Pius V called the faithful to pray the Rosary for the protection of the Christian forces. The victory became a lasting reminder of the power of prayer and the intercession of the Blessed Mother.

The Rosary is more than a repetition of prayers; it is a school of contemplation where, with Mary, we meditate upon the mysteries of Christ’s life, death, and resurrection. From the Battle of Lepanto to the struggles of our own time, the Rosary continues to remind us that in moments of uncertainty and trial, we are called to place our trust in God and seek the maternal intercession of Mary.

May this memorial inspire families, communities, and every faithful Christian to rediscover the Rosary as a prayer of faith, peace, and hope. May Mary, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, accompany us in our daily struggles and lead our hearts ever closer to Christ, teaching us to live the Gospel with courage, humility, and love.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time

The faithful of St. Joseph Parish – Gagalangin gathered in prayer and thanksgiving for the celebration of the 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time, coming together as one parish community in faith, hope, and love.

Through the Holy Eucharist, we are reminded that faith, even when small, can become a source of strength and transformation when placed wholeheartedly in God. The Lord calls us to remain faithful, trusting in His grace and continuing to serve with humility, perseverance, and a willing heart.

May this Sunday’s celebration and the beginning of the Rosary Month strengthen our faith and deepen our devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. May we continue to live as faithful disciples, offering our gifts and service for the good of others and for the greater glory of God.

As we open the Month of the Holy Rosary, the Marian Choir gathered in prayer and prayed the Holy Rosary, entrusting our intentions to the Blessed Virgin Mary and seeking her maternal intercession. Through the Rosary, may we journey more deeply with Mary in contemplating the life, passion, death, and resurrection of her Son, Jesus Christ.

𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 | Isa nang ganap na Episcopal Koronada ang Nuestra Señora del Santísimo Rosario de la Universidad de Santo Tomas, Ina at G**o, matapos ang maringal at makasaysayang pagdaraos ng Episcopal Coronation sa Pamantasang Santo Tomas.

Sa makasaysayang pagdiriwang na ito, nagtipon ang pamayanang Tomasino at mga deboto ng Mahal na Birhen upang saksihan ang solemne na pagpuputong ng korona sa banal na larawan ng Nuestra Señora del Santísimo Rosario. Ang seremonya ay naging isang natatanging pagpapahayag ng malalim na pananampalataya, pagmamahal, at debosyon ng sambayanan kay Maria, ang Ina at G**o na patuloy na umaakay sa atin tungo sa kanyang Anak na si Hesukristo.

Nakikiisa ang Marian Choir sa buong sambayanang Tomasino sa makasaysayang sandaling ito, pagpupugay sa Mahal na Birhen at panalangin para sa patuloy niyang paggabay at pagkalinga sa Pamantasan, sa Simbahan, at sa lahat ng kanyang anak.

Ngayong araw, buong galak at pasasalamat nating ipinagdiriwang ang Dakilang Kapistahan ng Nuestra Señora del Santísimo Rosario de la Universidad de Santo Tomas, ang ating Ina at G**o. Sa ilalim ng kanyang mapagkalingang paggabay, patuloy tayong inaakay tungo sa kanyang Anak na si Hesukristo, at tinuturuan na mamuhay sa pananampalataya, karunungan, at pag-ibig.

Lalong nagiging makasaysayan ang banal na pagdiriwang na ito sa pamamagitan ng Coronación Episcopal ng Mahal na Birhen ng Santísimo Rosario. Ang pagkokoronang ito ay isang maringal na pagpapahayag ng debosyon at pagmamahal ng sambayanan sa Mahal na Birhen, habang kinikilala ang kanyang natatanging lugar sa buhay pananampalataya ng pamayanang Tomasino. Nawa’y sa ilalim ng kanyang maternal na pagkalinga, patuloy niyang akayin ang buong pamayanan sa higit na katapatan kay Kristo at sa Kanyang Simbahan.

Nakikiisa ang Marian Choir ng St. Joseph Parish–Gagalangin sa buong pamayanang Tomasino sa maringal na pagdiriwang na ito. Sa panalangin at pakikiisa, sama-sama nating ipinagkakatiwala sa Mahal na Birhen ang ating mga pamayanan, pamilya, at mga adhikain, habang hinihiling ang kanyang patuloy na paggabay at pamamagitan. Nawa’y lagi niya tayong akayin tungo kay Kristo at tulungan tayong mamuhay nang may pananampalataya, pag-asa, at pag-ibig.

Mabuhay ang Mahal na Birhen ng Santísimo Rosario! Mabuhay ang Birhen! Mabuhay ang Rosaryo! Mabuhay Santo Domingo na nagtatag nito!
