Before Sumeow made its mark, there was this delightful baby suman! 🌟 Across the Philippines, we’re blessed with a rich variety of suman, but nothing holds a special place in my heart quite like the Antipolo suman.
Sumans are these sticky rice treats often wrapped in banana leaves. You usually eat them with a latik or caramel sauce.
I fondly remember our post-mass celebrations at the Our Lady of Good Voyage church, where we would eagerly grab a bunch of these sweet, sticky treats. Each bite takes me back to those joyful moments with family and friends, sharing laughter and stories.
Suman is more than just food; it’s a connection to our culture and memories that last a lifetime. 🍽️✨
Maybe I should introduce you to the different sumans here in my province, Batangas.
