Repertory Philippines profoundly grieves the passing of Miguel Faustmann, beloved and highly esteemed REP actor, director, and set designer. Miguel passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday May 15, 2022. He was 67 years old.

A veritable titan of the REP stage, Miguel effortlessly traversed theater, film, television, and radio, with his trademark stamp of outstanding excellence and impeccable artistic virtuosity and generosity. What an immense incalculable contribution his tremendous body of theatrical work is to the theater industry, and to Repertory Philippines.

The Study in Musical Theater and Music Composition classes of Joed Balsamo will present Viva Musica Episode 1: The Librettists. They are: Dennis Marasigan, George de Jesus III, Layeta Bucoy, Liza Magtoto, and Paul Alexander Morales.

With support from National Commission for Culture and the Arts, this round-table discussion will focus on the art of writing libretto for musicals, operas, zarzuelas, and dance/ballet - whether original or adaptation.
