Sixth Sunday of Easter

John 15:9-17

This is my commandment: love one another as I love you.

Chosen friends bear fruit through sacrificial love. Commanded joy flows from obedience, not obligation. Jesus does not demand servitude, only intimate union. The danger is not friendship, but self-love. When branches lay down life, greater love proves true. When commands become joy, purpose fulfills.

We love not to earn favor, but so fruit endures and glorifies God. Friendship is the point. Laid-down lives are enough.

To love as Christ loves is to live so bound to Him that friendship becomes command, and joy, complete.

Fifth Sunday of Easter

John 15:1-8

I am the true vine, and my Father is the vine grower.

Pruning reveals what barren branches conceal. Fruit grows from abiding union, not self-effort. Jesus does not seek isolation, only deep connection. The danger is not bareness, but detachment. When roots stay severed, life withers. When branches remain in the vine, abundance flows.

This vine is not ornamental. In fact, it demands bearing entirely. Fruit appears not for show, but so the Father is glorified through us. Abiding is the point. Faithful attachment is enough.

To dwell in the vine is to live so rooted in Christ that fruit becomes natural, and God's glory, evident.

Third Sunday of Easter

Luke 24:13-35

Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him.

Road-weary hearts miss what walks beside them. Burning words unveil the risen Christ. Jesus does not force sight, only breaks bread to reveal. The danger is not blindness, but indifference. When scriptures stay unread, truth slips away. When the meal shares presence, eyes open wide.

This encounter is not chance. In fact, it sends them forth entirely. Disciples rush back not for themselves, but so others know and glorify God. Recognition is the point. Shared table is enough.

To know Him in breaking bread is to live so attuned to Christ that presence becomes clear, and witness, urgent.

Second Sunday of Easter (Divine Mercy Sunday)

John 20:19-31

“Peace be with you,” Jesus said to them again. And he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and see my hands.”

Locked doors cannot hold back the risen Lord. Peace pierces fear; wounds confirm reality. Jesus does not demand blind faith, only honest encounter. The danger is not questions, but absence. When doubts persist unanswered, hope fades. When hands touch scars, belief awakens.

This appearance is not coercion. In fact, it invites trust entirely. Thomas confesses not for proof alone, but so others believe and glorify God. Mercy is the point. Open hearts are enough.

To receive Divine Mercy is to live so touched by Christ that peace becomes certain, and faith, contagious.
