The 3rd MDP Guest Artists Concert Series 2023 Invites you to watch Padayon Rondalla's live performance at GMC Tagaytay.

Padayon Rondalla is a performing group under the Department of Musicology of the UP College of Music. Established in July 2016, Padayon Rondalla was formed by a group of friends who share a love for rondalla music. "Padayon", a Visayan term meaning "to go on" or "continue" embodies the group's mission to continue their passion for rondalla music and vision to bring its music all over the world. The group is composed of music educators, composers, and performers from the University of the Philippines College of Music, each with different backgrounds in music.

Happening tomorrow August 29, 2023 at Guang Ming Auditorium, GMC-Tagaytay campus.

Maron Rozelle Mabana our President & 2023 Music Artist Awardee for being casted in the 2023 rerun of "RAMA HARI", a musical and dance drama based on the ancient Sanskrit epic "Ramayana", directed and choreographed by National Artist Alice Reyes, with music composed by National Artist Ryan Cayabyab.

Looking for an innovative and different kind of technique in playing instruments?

It's finally here!
And you will be strumming it this coming March 20-22 at Guang Ming College Music Room together
with Cuerdas Babies and UP-Padayon's banduria player Mrs. Fides Topico.

Marie Fides DC. Topico graduated Cum laude in the University of the Philippines College of Music with a bachelor’s degree in Music Education. She started playing the octavina when she joined the Marcelo H. Del Pilar National High School Rondalla. The group later won the first prize in the Rondal-Awit Competition 2011 held in Tagum City, Davao del Norte. This ignited her interest in music and continued her passion.

In 2011, she entered the College of Music and took classical guitar lessons under Mr. Solaiman Jamisolamin. She immediately joined the UP Rondalla as a bandurria player. The group was led by the renowned banduria player Ms. Elaine Espejo-Cajucom. She is currently a member of the Padayon Rondalla, a group formed in 2016 which already performed in the Yilan International Children’s Folklore and Folkgame Festival in July to August 2016 held in Yilan, Taiwan and the Chen Ding Nan’s 10th Death Anniversary Memorial Concert on November 6 of the same year.

Aside from being a music performer, she is also a Rondalla instructor, and guitar/ukulele teacher in various schools and music studio.

Cuerdas Workshop gives you "Innovative Rondalla Playing Technique".

SANLIBONG SALAMAT PASINAYA!

After our First Choir Festival, we prepared right out for PASINAYA 2023: Piglas Sining at the CCP's Tanghalang Ignacio Gimenez basement (Black Box Theater).

Guang Ming Harmonies would like to thank all the Aca-Fam's who visited our booth and supported our performance showcase together with other schools, performers and co-artists from all over the country.

An Aca-mazing showcase of talent sharing and knowledge integration through artistic expression and practice.
