100% Completion - Resident Evi ll Code: Veronica X PS3

Difficulty: 4/10
Fun Factor: 8/10

My least favorite RE game... mainly because of the lots of backtracking needed and the fact that I got softlocked the first time I played it before 😅. Though after basically getting all achievements for this game 3 times ( this one included ), I learned to love it and see why it's one of the peoples favorites in the franchise.

This game is one of the hardest ganes to get all achievements for in the mainline games, mainly because of the Weapon's Crazy trophy which requires you to complete the game under 4 hrs and 30 mins w/o any saves ( except the ending of the 1st part ), while accomplishing other quests and w/o using any first aid sprays. To add to that difficulty you have to get all 5 battle game characters to A rank 😅

The story is very Resident Evil with it's campiness and over the top action but lore wise this entry is very important in regards to the redfield vs wesker arc of the story... so you best be ready for when the inevitable remake is revealed!

The game that i just couldn't get enough off. What's the perfect game to get all achievements for on my first time with a PS3 than the game that started it all for me? This one of course! The trophy list and journey all in all is the same as the PS4 version so that's that.

I just learned to appreciate this game more after replaying it after a long while cuz of the plethora of games that got released the prior months and for sure it still holds up well. It gives a different experience compared to the RE4R but still a must play for the casual gamers and Resident Evil fans!

Firstly I would like to say that this game has a platinum trophy but I will not be getting it because even though the campaign mode is a bit short ( spanning 2-3 hrs give or take ) the gameplay to say the least is playable.

The story of Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City takes place during the events of RE 2 and RE 3, you play as different members of Umbrella's hired mercenary squad tasked to get the G virus sample and escape Raccoon City. No this game isn't canon to the continuity of the series because of events that happen near the end of the game.

Gameplay wise.... well like most of the games after RE 5's development, this one turned out to be a third person multiplayer shooting game that is meant to be played with friends for an easier time. You can play as multiple different characters with different abilities for variety and of course online matches.

When judged by today's standards... this game is, a fine multiplayer game to play for a bit but can and will be a bit repetitive most especially when you are going for the platinum trophy.

First complete playthrough of Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles is done! I had an overall better experience of this game when compared to TUC, but the only thing that TUC does better is its camera. The shaky camera combined with the aiming and motion blur really makes it diffixult for you to aim accurately.

Gameplay wise, basically it is still the same on the rails shooter type but with a changed loadout system and weapon upgrade system which overall is an improvement IMO.

Storywise, like TUC it has a condensed version of some previous games from the series but adds something new for the lore nerds ( myself included ). Again if you would like to experience the gameplay and story of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil Code Veronica X, then you are better of playing them separately.

The new story and additional lore that this game offers on the other hand connects to Leon and Krauser's backstory mentioned in RE4 ( 2005 & 2023 ), which shows us what happened during Operation Javier and the reason why Krauser turned evil.

And finally trophy wise, like TUC this game doesn't have a platinum trophy and is also a Wii game port so when you play the game using a controller, the usual difficulty goes up when using the Ps Move. So a result I will be passing the 100% completion of this game for now.

Edit: I almost forgot about the secret stage... All I can say about it is that it is PEAK GAMING and an easter egg to Resident Evil 2...

I just finished my first ever playthrough of Resident Evil The Umbrella Chronicles on PS3 and here are some of my thoughts.

Story wise this game offers something new for the lore of Resident Evil as a whole ( I'm talking about the Wesker scenarios, Rebecca and Richard in the mansion, What happened to Ada after she falls and the events that lead to the fall of umbrella ) but if you want to experience the OG Trilogy + 0, it's best to play them individually for proper immersion.

Gameplay wise this game is an on the rails shooter type. Meaning that the path your characters will traverse are pre determined and out of your control, but you can go guns ablaze on anything you see on screen.

This game is made for the Wii alongside The Darkside Chronicles ( which is up next ) but the accompanying playstation counterpart to it does the job to give you an enjoyable experience. But I played it using a DS4 controller so.... i had a bit of a hard time trying to aim properly and hit the things I wanted to but overall it is manageable.

Lastly the trophies, at first I decided to try and get 100% completion for this game but by only having to use a controller ups the difficulty by a bit for the 3 ( technically 2 ) final trophies. So for now I'll leave it at a completed playthrough.
