KAIA, HORI7ON, and 1st.One Team Up for "Sulong," Official Theme Song of ROUND Festival

Three of P-pop's rising forces have come together for a powerful collaboration. KAIA, HORI7ON, and 1st.One teamed up to record "Sulong," the official theme song for the 2026 ROUND Festival, a music event that brings together artists from across Southeast Asia and South Korea.

The track's title, a Filipino word meaning to push forward or advance, captures the shared goal of elevating Filipino music while building stronger artistic bridges between ASEAN nations and Korea. The song was performed live during the festival's special stage at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, where the three groups delivered an energetic joint performance.

KAIA described the collaboration as an exciting and meaningful experience for all of them. The partnership highlights how P-pop acts are increasingly working together to represent Filipino music on larger international platforms, moving beyond individual group promotions to showcase the genre as a united force.

SULONG: A P-Pop Anthem for Culture, Overcoming Boundaries and Collective Action

First performed during the 2026 ROUND in the Philippines, “Sulong” emerges as more than just a song. It is a reflection of the continuing rise of Philippine pop culture and the communities that sustain it. As P-pop continues to break barriers and capture wider audiences, “Sulong” stands as a testament to how Filipino artistry can unite people across backgrounds while amplifying stories.

At its core, “Sulong” highlights how culture becomes a powerful force in overcoming boundaries. It underscores the role of music in pushing individuals and communities to go beyond what is familiar, to challenge what has long been accepted, and embrace more inclusive ways of thinking.

More than entertainment, culture remains one of the strongest forces for connection and transformation. Through music, communities find common ground, and “Sulong” stands as both an invitation and a challenge. That is to move past our limitations and come together in building something shared.

Presented in support by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) World, the music and lyric video of “Sulong” are now available on Spotify, Youtube, and all applicable streaming platforms. Meanwhile, the performance video will be broadcast on 21 May 2026 and will premiere on 22 May 2026, in conjunction with the broadcast and premiere of 2026 ROUND in the Philippines, respectively. The track is part of Project P-pop: Rising, featuring artists KAIA, Hori7on, and 1st.One.
