Hey fiber arts friends! Sorry I have been neglecting this account while I've been studying at nail school. 💅🏼😅 (Check out Plates and Polish💅🏻 by Laurel if you want to see what I've been doing since January!) I graduate this week though so I can get back into my other love more regularly again! ➿➰➿

Just wanted to share this fun spool holder my brother-in-law 3D printed for me! I don't have to throw my spool across the room anymore or spend precious free time untangling the thread and pulling more thread free because it just rolls along with me as I work! Plus, there's a piece that I can add for when I'm working off of bigger spools too!The base is great for keeping track of my little scissors that I misplace frequently as well lol. I know the colors look vastly different in the 2 photos but the iridescent filament just shifts colors based on the lighting/angle. I love it. Now I can tat anywhere without my thread taking over the room hahaha. Seriously one of my favorite gifts ever. Thanks, Dallin!😁

🎃 Happy Halloween, everyone!🎃

Saturday was probably the best day of my entire tatting career. 🤍

After 3 essentially failed markets, I was about ready to quit doing events, but someone posted that a kid's theatre group was looking for vendors to sell items in the lobby during their shows that weekend, with no vendor fee! 🤯 So, even though it was only a few days away, I had plenty of stock leftover from the last fair I did, (I only sold 2 items) and I signed up for both Saturday shows. My previous sales record at events I believe was 3, and between both the shows, I sold triple that amount.

Is that a crazy amount? For me, yes, though I'm sure some of y'all still think that's sad. Am I financially set now for months? Absolutely not. 😂 But, in roughly the same time frame as each of the 3 previous markets I'd done, I actually made a profit, and I didn't have to set up tables and a tent, and I didn't have to sit in the heat for multiple hours. 😮

The main difference this made for me was realizing I just need to find the right setting and a more targeted audience to find people who appreciate my work. I also learned that there are things that I should have more of that I don't prefer to make (split-ring jewelry for example), and different sizes of things where possible.

It was such a great experience and meeting people there was so fun too. ☺️ Hoping to be a vendor for again sooner rather than later! 😁

Almost missed it! 🤪 Happy international tatting day everyone! My mom got me this shirt and I positively love it. I'm grateful it still fits even though I'm 26 weeks pregnant 😅

I know I haven't posted much lately, but I've mostly been making snowflakes to have them ready for winter later, and bows for friends having girls. (I'm having a boy, or I'd be making one of each color for my own otherwise. 😜)

I work hard on each item I tat to make share the ends are secure and that it is made with care to ensure longevity. Due to the nature of the items being made with thread though, I'm sure some potential clients might hesitate to purchase these pieces because they have concerns about the thread coming unraveled/frayed/etc.

✨contact me and let me know what needs to be repaired or replaced (in case the thread used on the item is no longer available, we can discuss an alternative thread color option)
✨Just pay for shipping to get the item to me (may not apply for replacement; will be determined on a case-by-case basis)
✨I will repair or replace the item and cover the cost to ship it to you!

How it started vs. How it's going!

Tatting was so frustrating when I first started; I almost quit. 😅 So glad I didn't. I can't believe I've been tatting for 2 years. Yes it's a paradox: I still feel so new at it but also that this has always been my favorite craft. 😂 So excited to keep learning new things and growing my product options!
